  God's Explorers

Brenda MacLean is a talented freelance producer who has a firm grasp of the industry and an excellent eye for ‘story’. For two years, Brenda worked directly with God’s Explorers' Executive Producer, Tom Cox, on the Gemini-awarding winning television series, North of 60, handling business affairs and producing television promos. As the former Vice President of the Alberta Film Commission, she read over 200 scripts a year and played a valuable advisory role on issues ranging from locations and crew, to government and business relations, to financing and budgets.

Prior to entering the film industry, Brenda spent five years in public relations as an Account Executive in both Toronto and Ottawa. In this capacity, she proved to be effective in media relations, fundraising, publicity, writing, and large scale event planning. Brenda is a member of Women in Film and Television – Alberta and has worked as an advisor to the Calgary International Film Festival.
