IMPROVISATION  Ages 12–15

Improvisational theatre is a form of theatre in which actors perform without a script, providing their own lines of dialogue and reactions. Although this style of acting can be dramatic or comedic, modern improv has been popularized by the comedic improv games and short scenes performed in the TV show, Whose Line Is It Anyway? and by Theatresports.

In this class students will explore the fundamentals of improv principles such as trust, spontaneity, commitment, teamwork, and storytelling, and how to apply them into comedic scenes and improv games.

The class will culminate in a sharing of their work before an in studio audience.
