PERFORMANCE IN THE PARK–LUMINARA 2009
Ages 12-15
This class is recommended for students with some experience.
This camp is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring young acting students who want to expand and develop their performing abilities.
They will spend their week in a very rich and dynamic learning environment, being introduced to new acting techniques, movement, improvisational work plus character development work. They will be creating strong dynamic characters from their work that they will then eventually take to Beacon Hill Park to perform at the Luminara Festival.
Luminara is a community event in its 10th year where thousands of people gather in Beacon Hill Park, illuminated by candles and take in a night of magic. Performers and artists of all kinds are throughout the park engaged in some form of artistic activity and the public walks through watching and listening.
Kate Rubin Theatre Studio’s students have been there since the beginning, delighting audiences with their performances. The students will perform a number of times throughout the evening.
