The “Hawaiian Treasures” are Hawaiian Steel Guitar and Ukulele musical fun classes consisting of seniors 55+. Hawaiian music, the culture of Hawai’i is the prime focus, instructed by George “Keoki” Lake, twice weekly, at the Central Lions Centre, 11113 - 113 Street NW, Edmonton, AB.

Students are required to own an electric Hawaiian steel guitar and a small, inexpensive amplifier.  Ukulele students are required to own a ukulele.  Instruments are readily available for purchase at most music and/or guitar stores in Edmonton.  (Often used instruments are available for purchase from class members).  All instruction material is supplied at no cost to the student.  Minimal knowledge of music is an asset, however, “enthusiasm” … is a must!
