Blue Heron is located about 8 kms from the ferry terminal on South Road. Just drive straight off the ferry and keep going straight with no turns and in 8 kms you will arrive at Blue Heron at 1945 South Road. A taxi service is available on Gabriola. Gabriola Taxi 247-0049. I can also arrange to pick up foot passengers from the ferry terminal.

Getting to Gabriola:
Gabriola Island is a Gulf island situated off the East coast of Vancouver Island. The island is about 20 mins by ferry from Downtown Nanaimo. Nanaimo is about 1 1/2 hrs. drive North from Victoria. There are lots of options to get here.
By plane.
Air Canada operates a daily schedule from Vancouver International Airport to Nanaimo Airport , 20 mins. south of Nanaimo. From the Airport a taxi, or the Nanaimo Airporter EXPRESS (1-800-209-7792) can take you to the Gabriola Ferry terminal in downtown Nanaimo.
By float plane.
offers 3 flights daily from Seair float plane terminal near the South Terminal of Vancouver Airport. This friendly service takes 20 mins. and lands at Silva Bay marina about 10mins drive to Blue Heron.
Float Plane service from Vancouver is also available via Harbour Air and West Coast Air to Downtown Nanaimo.

B.C. ferries runs a 72 car ferry to Gabriola from downtown Nanaimo (20 mins). The ferry terminal is within 5 mins walking distance from the Harbour Air and West Coast Air float plane terminal
The ferry to Gabriola runs every 65 mins. approx. until 10:55 pm.
B.C. ferries runs from the Vancouver mainland via Horsehoe Bay (north of Vancouver) to Departure Bay in Nanaimo (1hr 35 min.) and from Tsawassen (south of Vancouver) to Duke Point, south of Nanaimo ( 2hr.) The Tsawassen ferry terminal is about a 30 min. drive from the US border crossing at the Peace Arch at Blaine.
