INTRODUCTION
Lil'Owl's Boubliwae Adventures
Greetings to all gnome believers. This is a picture of Boubliwae Falls where I live. My home is located on the banks of a small brook that flows into the pool at the base of Boubliwae Falls. Although the exact world location of this mystical place is unknown to me, I would like to tell you more about honest-to-goodness gnomes, like me, who adventure around Boubliwae Falls. My name is Lil'Owl and I am one of the few true descendants of the original gnomes who journeyed here from far-off places.
I hope you enjoy reading the adventure stories being told to you and welcome you to the tranquil world of Boubliwae.
This is a place where you can listen, and hear sounds of the forest such as the peaceful trickling of water over mossy rocks, birds chirping and insects buzzing all communicating their feelings. And, oh what smells like cedar, pine and earth fill your nostrils. We gnomes have sizable ears and noses to enjoy these gifts of nature and I must say, many special human friends-of-gnomes are also gifted with these features. Sun and moon beams make dew drops on flowers and cobwebs glisten like diamonds, visible only to those who take the time to visit our majestic forests. Why mortals continue to destroy such beauty is a constant mystery to us gnomes.
My great, great grandfather, Sneezewort (Who never managed to grow a beard even at the ripe old age of 400!) discovered Boubliwae during his explorations with his two brothers Dodder, the eldest who had a wooden leg and Baldmoney, who was the family engineer. A very special human known as BB wrote two wonderfully entertaining books about Dodder, Baldmoney, Sneezewort and Cloudberry and their final adventures down the Folly brook, on whose banks they had dwelled, in England and their subsequent journey to Ireland.
Many do not believe in the Little People, but I know you do! When reading stories about Boubliwae you must make yourself as wee as possible (which can be extremely difficult), keep very quiet (which is even more difficult for many) then watch and wait by the Boubliwae Brook deep in the forest. Listen carefully, soon you will hear and understand the woodland folk and forest dwellers, especially those who inhabit Boubliwae.
Respectfully yours, Lil'Owl
