The Maverick Cat Coalition is a registered
charity that cares for stray and feral cats in the
community. They offer a trap, neuter and return program
to caregivers to control the kitten population and
their long-term goal is to have a self-sustaining
cat shelter for feral cats.
As an organization that is funded
solely by grants and public donations and staffed
by volunteers, the coalition needs volunteers, charitable
donations and cat food or supplies this holiday season.
They also run the innovative "Sponsor
a Maverick Cat" program where donors can specify
an animal they wish their funds to be directed towards.
