Mouse: He
has been on and off the streets, living in Burnaby, Richmond
and Vancouver. To make a long story short, Mouse is one
streetwise cat that is still looking for a permanent home.
He is presently in foster care and will be adopted into
the best home that we can find. This cat was featured in
one of our newsletters. Read

Kittens:
Kittens are an inevitable result of people not being responsible
pet owners. Maverick Cat Coalition does not traffic in kittens,
but delivers them to responsible foster homes and professionally-run
shelters. Then we trap the adult cats and deliver them to
our vet for treatment.

Twins:
These twin street cats will never be separated. When one was
trapped and delivered to a shelter, she escaped and traveled
several miles through the city to be "home" with
her sister. Our caretaker witnessed the actual reunion, describing
how the two cats weaved, circled, and bumped heads with each
other for several minutes!

Freda:
Freda was featured in our first newsletter. Today she makes
occasional visits to her original homestead and spends most
of her time at another home in the neighborhood. In any case,
Freda is looking well-fed and healthy enjoying the
life of freedom she has always known! This
cat was featured in one of our newsletters. Read

Feral:
Living in a very bleak industrial district, this pretty feline
has a large entourage of feeders to look after her and many
of her clan. As with many cats featured here, she projects
a quiet determination to remain in her own familiar surroundings
and to be wary of any friendly overtures by people in general. |

Multi:
This is Multi, who, despite our best efforts at catching him,
has consistently chosen to go hungry rather than enter one
of our humane traps. He requires medical attention because
of his right paw and injured mouth; unfortunately, his experiences
with people have not been pleasant, so he appears to have
chosen to live a hard life on his own terms. |

Manfred:
This cat was banished from his neighborhood by the two residents
who were feeding strays. It seems that his aggressiveness
was not appreciated by people (or cats). They called him "The
Ugly One". Luckily, after Maverick Cat Coalition trapped
him, we negotiated his return and promised to trap him again
if his behavior did not improve. Guess what? He is now the
most popular and loveable fellow in the neighborhood
and everyone calls him "Manfred"!
