Volunteers at MC House

First and foremost the Metchosin Community Association would like to invite area residents to get involved with their community through the Community House. The potential for volunteer opportunities through our organization is dynamic, friendly and most rewarding. We are always looking for folks to step forward and offer a hand in whatever way they can. You never know where this can lead and what joy can come from getting involved. Please let the MCH office know if you have time or resources which you can offer to your community. Check out the listing of Programs and Events to get an idea of some current activities or you may have thoughts on something new and exciting that could be offered.

As the overseer of the Community House, The Metchosin Community Association, offers a liaison with other organizations that depend upon volunteer assistance:

• Juan de Fuca Parks & Recreation, making recreational activities meaningful and accessible.
• Pearson College, maximizing the inter-cultural opportunities for both its students and our community.
• Vancouver Island Health Authority Adult Day Program meeting social & health needs of seniors who require help due to health related disabilities.
• Neighbourhood Response Program PODS, and the Emergency Planning Committee, helping to ensure the safety and well being of residents by developing their awareness as a unified community for effective handling of emergencies. Get involved by helping out at the Emergency Operations Centre.
