Chris Dobbs has been teaching music since 1994.  Starting out on Vancouver Island, he studied Jazz Performance at Malaspina University/College. Chris then moved to Montreal in 2000 where he continued teaching privately and was hired to instruct group guitar classes for McGill University.  Chris made the move back to the west coast in 2004 where he taught at the University of British Columbia and at the Mount Royal Institute, where he was head of the Jazz and Audio Recording Departments.  He has now settled in the Okanagan to raise his family. Chris has enjoyed performing in various styles such as; jazz, rock, funk, bluegrass, and classical.  He continues to teach out of his home studio and is the creator of Green Studios Music.

Cindy is a dynamic and energetic singer/songwriter who loves to engage students in the joy of music and give them all the theoretical and performance tools needed in the process. Her initial training was in classical piano and vocals. She later directed children’s choirs before attending Grant McEwan College in Edmonton, AB. She then furthered her musical education at Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles, CA, where she participated in several performing/recording opportunities. In Kelowna, she has performed in various jazz trios, as a member of M.A.S.K (Musical, Actors and Singers of Kelowna) and as the lead vocalist for the the rock band Out of Eden.

Music Educator and Vocal Coach Nicole Desson has been making music for as long as she can remember, playing piano and singing solo and in choirs since elementary school. She has taught for more than 15 years in Western Canada.  In addition to teaching voice, she teaches piano, beginner guitar, theory, and song writing.   Currently based in Kelowna, BC, Mrs. Desson began her career in southern Saskatchewan, where she received her Grade VIII Voice and Grade VII Piano (Honors) from the Royal Conservatory. Relocating to Edmonton in 2004, she attended Concordia University College of Alberta, receiving her B.A. in Music (Voice) in 2008.  In 2009, she relocated to Kelowna, where she joined the B.C. Registered Music Teachers’ Association.  At present, she serves as president of her local chapter.

Todd has been playing and performing for 18 years and has enjoyed teaching students of all levels for the past 12 years. He studied Jazz Performance at Malaspina University/College and attended the Douglas College Jazz Workshop with full scholarship. He performs all over Vancouver Island and the Mainland with various groups including; Decadence (10 piece Jazz/Funk Band), N.M.A Jazz Band (Nanaimo Musicians Association), Billy Dixon and Wunderbread. He also had the pleasure of performing as the BCMEA all-star Big Band Drummer (British Columbia Music Educators Association), with Jim Burnes at the Orpeum Theater, and the Canadian Tenors Island Tour in 2007. Todd looks forward to working with new students and helping them to reach their full potential.
