Blue Mountains

We took the train out to the Blue Mountains. So we took the train back to Sydney and then transfered to another train out to Katoomba. The train took about 3 1/2 hours and I would never have thought I would meet anyone that can talk more than Kailey. She has met her match in Adam!

We stayed in a beautiful house a few quick steps away from the Three Sisters. We went on 2 hikes yesterday. The first hike we left at 8:00 in the morning and started out from the three sisters and hiked around to the steepest railway in the world. The hike started off with over 1000 steps down the cliff to the bottom. The hike took 2 1/2 hours and we didn't see anyone until we arrived at the railway/coal mine area. We decided that we would take the train up as the 800 stairs up to the top didn't look apealing. The train averages 52 degrees over the 500m length of the train tracks.

The second hike we took was at the cascades. This was a quick hike down to the waterfall. I will post some pictures this evening after we settle down.
