Canberra

In Canberra we went to the national Museum and the war memorial. The war memorial would probably need 3 days to go through and read evrything properly. From the outside it looks fiarly small but once you get inside it seems to go on forever. We also went to a glassworks which was interesting to watch. There was an atrist there that was blowing glass so we got to see how it is done.

The Train back to Sydney was about 4 hours but seemsed to go buy rather quickly. We finally saw some wild Kangaroos near sunset. It was neat to see them in the wild hopping away from the train.

We are back in Sydney now for the last 3 days of our trip. Later on today we are going to have a donut cake in the shape of a 6 for Max's birthday. It is neat that we will be abel to celebrate it before he even gets out of bed for his birthday at home. We also went to the ANZAC display here in Sydney for a quiet Rememberance day celebration. Only 2 more days until we leve for Hawaii......time flys when you are having fun.

Leaving Melbourne

We are on our way to Canbrerra this morning. Our time in Melbourne was spent wandering around the CBD. Gabby and I did go out for a nice dinner with Andrew and Sianon Wednesday evening and had a nice time relaxing and watching someone try to skip out on their bill. The Whickhams made us fell at home in their beautiful house and we would like to thank them for that.

Melbourne

We arrived in Melbourne this morning after a dreadful 3am wakeup to catch the flight. We are staying at Andrew's parents place until Friday. As it is a holiday today in Melbourne for the horse races we are heading to a BBQ for some shinanigans.

We were in Byron Bay over the weekend for some surfing lessons. Naturally the kids picked it up quite quickly while I spent most of the time picking myself up off the sand. We also had to rent a car as we couldn't find any accomodations in Byron so we stayed in the next town over which was a 20 min drive. I managed to not crash the car but it is definately different driving on the wrong side of the road.

Wet'N'Wild

We went to the waterpark yesterday and we all had a blast! The waterpark was huge and we managed to get on all the rides but one. After we got back to Brisbane we wandered around the city centre. Fridays all the shops are open late and there are alot of people in the city for the nightlife. It was interesting to see the city come alive. We are off to Byron Bay this morning for some surfing.

Brisbane

We have been in Brisbane for a couple of days now. Yesterday we went over to Margarets cousin's house for "Tea" (dinner for the rest of us). It was nice to have a home cooked meal! The visit was nice and they made us feel right at home. Travis managed to break a vase in the first 5 minutes of getting there so that broke the ice.

Today we went to Dreamworld just outside of Surfers Paradise. It is a Disney style theme park and apparently the largest one in Australia. We all had a fun time and naturally mom and dad were done by about 1:00. Where is auntie Andi when you need her? Tommorow will be much the same as we head to Wet'N'Wild waterslides.

We also are running out of time and really want to get to Melbourne so we are going to fly and meet up with Andrew and his family (Exchange student that stayed at my moms). Hopefully you all had a good Halloween as the kids managed to get 1 bag of M&M's.

We will be heading to Byron bay on Saturday to try the surfing thing.
