My Big impetus on buying the Mewlon was for planetary
imaging. I had heard great
things about the mewlon, and I was not disappointed in its performance. I
bought it used from the San Fransisco area and it was in serious need of
cleaning and collimation. The image of Saturn was taken before I did the
last bit of tweaking on the scope. The resolution and contrast of the scope are wonderful.
It is not a wide field scope, but it performs admirably on the moon and
planets. July 2007
