FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: What is
Shiatsu?
A: Shiatsu is a Japanese traditional hands-on therapy in which thumb
and palm pressure is applied to pressure points on the body to improve
health and enhance the body's natural healing abilities.
Q: Is Shiatsu
painful or uncomfortable?
A: Overall, a Nao Shiatsu Therapy treatment leaves you feeling relaxed
and refreshed. Where a particularly sore point or tense muscle is
located, I will adjust the pressure applied to fit your comfort
level. Some discomfort during the treatment will assist your
body's natural healing abilities, but our discussion during the
treatment will permit me to tailor the treatment to your comfort level.
Q: Where is
Nao Shiatsu Therapy located?
A: Nao Shiatsu Therapy is located within John's Acupuncture Clinic at:
4347 West 10th Ave.,
Vancouver, British Columbia,

Q: When is Nao
Shiatsu Therapy open?
Nao Shiatsu Therapy is currently open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and
Fridays from
9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Q: What should
I wear?
A: Wear regular, loose clothing such as a T-shirt and pants. No
clothing is removed for the treatment.
Q: How long is
a session?
A: Each Nao Shiatsu Therapy session may be as short as 15 minutes, or
as long as 90 minutes.
Q: Is a longer
session better?
A: Often yes. While a short 15-minute session can treat a single
point where you feeling discomfort or have a problem condition, a whole
body treatment of 60 minutes will cover interconnected pressure points
that affect problem areas. Thus, a whole body treatment will better
treat that problem condition. To provide a whole body treatment plus
spend extra time on specific problem areas may take as long as 90
minutes.
