Fine Violins

 This violin was constructed of Vancouver Island big leaf maple and sitka spruce.  The maple has a very strong figure.  The spruce was taken from a beam taken from a boat yard which was cut some time in the 1930's.  The colour of the oil varnish is kept light in order to show off the magnificent figure of the wood.

 This violin was also constructed of the same Vancouver Island big leaf maple and sitka spruce as the above instrument.  The colour of the oil varnish is somewhat darker and more reddish than above but still shows off the magnificent figure of the wood.
