PACE Society is committed to reducing the harm experienced by survival sex workers, and for that reason, our office is equipped with harm reduction supplies made available to our members, such as condoms and needles.

“A Taste of This Life: Recipes and Reflections from People Living with Hep C”

The goals of this project were:

  • To promote an understanding and sensitivity in the stakeholder community (health, sex work, Hepatitis C, Service Providers) of the nature and effects of living with Hepatitis C.
  • To enhance the wellness of persons living with Hepatitis C who are involved in survival sex and injection drug use.

In the first phase of this project, participants (all people living with Hep C who have experience in survival sex and injection drug use) created a cookbook called “A Taste of This Life: Recipes and Reflections from People Living with Hep C.”

In the second phase, the sex workers involved created an educational pamphlet and began delivering presentations throughout BC to educate service providers, sex industry allies, and other sex workers about health issues around Hep C.
