All of the metal sculptures on this page are made from a single square or rectangle of sheet steel, except for the two called TRILOBITE, which is made from two pieces, and FLOWERS, which is made from four pieces. The sheet then has lines cut into it with a plasma arc cutter and the metal is folded and bent into it's final shape. Sometimes it takes a very long time to work out all the cuts and folds before I start to do the actual work. Each piece may have texture applied with a grinder or sander and colour may be applied with the application of heat.
