b. 20 Sep 1897 in Forest, Ontario, Canada; d. 15 Aug 1959 at St. Joseph's Hospital, London, Ontario, Canada. m. 21 Oct 1920 in Corunna, Ontario, Canada to Leila Ruth HARPER (b. 23 Jun 1896; d. 31 Jan 1967 in London, Ontario, Canada), daughter of Samuel HARPER and Sarah LOUGHEED. After leaving high school, Victor worked for his father in the Free Press office. He made the newspaper business his lifelong work and, following his father's death, became editor and publisher of the paper, a position he retained until his own death. Victor had diabetes for the last twenty years of his life. He and Leila are buried together in Beechwood Cemetery, Forest, Ontario.
