Studio

Permanent Records is filled with high-end recording gear and instruments. From Marshall amps to Gibson and Guild guitars, Drum Workshop drums, Korg keyboards, Warwick and SWR bass equipment, plus the Digidesign and Motu audio/midi interfaces make the quality comparable to top-dollar studios.

Permanent Records 2006 before the move.   Permanent Records is currently running Protools 7.1 with a Digidesign 002r interface, running 8 more channels in through light pipe via a Motu 2408 and an additional 2 channels via s/pdif through and ART DPSii unit for a total of 18 simultaneous inputs. Playback is limited to 32 tracks of audio plus unlimited midi and 64 auxiliary tracks. Tracking is generally done at 24-bit, 48khz recording but can go as high as 96 khz if need be.

A quick look through the gear here will tell you we mean business—everything is streamlined to give maximum speed of setup and flexibility. Keyboards patched directly through the patch bay. A separate microphone patch bay to stop mucking around behind the rack. Cables neatly tucked away in categorized drawers. Every customizable feature in Protools remapped and renamed to conform directly with the studio itself.

What if you can't make it to the studio? You need someone to come to your office to record those telephone voice prompts, or to your grandma's house because her piano is just killer? We can do that too! Ask about our mobile studio [that connects seamlessly to the main system for later editing!].
