Stress Management Strategies: Old and New

Presented by Rebekah McPhee R.Ac., R.P.C.

Taming the Dragon is a ground breaking 2 hour workshop, long overdue for people in challenging and stressful fields such as health care, social service, government ministries, and industry. We will explore the physiological signs and impacts of stress on health and wellness and ancient concepts of Chinese Medicine relating to imbalances of energy that lead to stress in our lives. Rebekah leads participants through Taoist stress management techniques like guided Chinese Qi Gong meditation as well as strategies blending the old and new, like Emotional Freedom Technique. Finally, the last 45 minutes are spent in a transcendent state of relaxation with a session of auricular (ear) acupuncture for a lasting taste of parasympathetic nervous system healing.
