Information for Show & Shine Registered Participants


- Downtown Courtenay
- Open Event, all classes including motorcycles
- The most trophies awarded on Vancouver Island
- Tons of prizes PLUS $pecial prize$ ($pecial prize$ winners must answer skill testing question. The CV Classic Cruisers have chosen to exclude themselves from $pecial prize$)
- Dash plaques

Thrifty Foods

Saturday     
July 25th

- 5:00pm to 7:00pm Cruise-In and dine at the A&W on Cliffe Ave., Courtenay.
- Golden Oldies music in the parking lot
- Overflow parking directly across the street at the Driftwood Mall
- 7:00pm cruisers leave the A&W for a cruise of the Comox Valley
- After cruise desert compliments of Thrifty Foods

Cruise Route Map will be posted as soon as route updated. Note that the cruisers will travel both directions along the cruise route, passing at approx. the halfway point. Hardcopy maps will be given to each cruiser prior to the cruise showing which direction (orange or yellow routes) you are travelling along the route. Estimated Cruise route time - 1 1/2+ hours

 


Sunday
July 26th

- Pancake Breakfast 8:00am - 10:00am
- 8:00am registration opens
- 11am registration closes
- Huge prize draws all day from the Downtown Courtenay Business Improvement Assoc.
- Approx. 2:30pm Trophy presentations
- Approx. 3:00pm $pecial Prize$ give away
- Special prize for Longest distance traveled
- Downtown shops open all day with a "Walk About" contest for all participants

Instructions
To Registrants     

1. Pre-registration applications must be postmarked no later than July 15th to be accepted.
2. Pre-registration applications postmarked later than July 15, 2009 will be returned.
3. Pre-registration confirmation and documentation will be sent to you via snail mail.
4. if you applied prior to the July 15th deadline, but have not received your Pre-registration documents by July 20th, please contact Fred Tutt at (250)897-0282 or by email treasurer@cvclassiccruisers.com for alternate arrangements.
5. Pre-registrants MUST be in the show line-up by 9:00am.
6. Participants arriving at the Pre-registration Gate without the proper documents will, without exception, not be considered "Pre-registered"


ATTENTION U.S. REGISTRANTS

Due to check clearing issues with U.S. banks, please submit your application with an International money order rather than a check ($10.00 CDN). Deadlines posted above will still apply.


Important


Comox Valley Classic Cruisers liability insurance requires participant's vehicles to remain in the designated show area until 3:00pm or completion of awards, whichever is later. Except in emergency, participant's vehicles will not be allowed to move until spectators have thinned sufficiently to permit safe vehicle exit from the designated show area. Permission in such emergency and at show end shall be at the sole discretion and direction of the Comox Valley Classic Cruisers show officials.


Show Area Entry


Show Participants travelling northbound from Naniamo, Victoria, ferries - Upon entering Courtenay from the south please follow Cliffe Ave. past A&W, Big O Tire, Lordco, continuing until you reach 8th Street. Turn left on 8th St. and continue to Fitzgerald Ave. Turn right on Fitzgerald and you will see the two entry points into the Downtown Courtenay area. Preregistered at 6th St. and show day registrations at 4th.


Show participants travelling southbound from Campbell River and points beyond via old Island Highway - Pass Comox Valley Dodge travelling straight through until after you cross the 5th Street bridge. Turn left at the Cliffe Ave. traffic light, go 2 blocks south on Cliffe Ave. then turn right on 8th Street. Up 8th Street two blocks to Fitzgerald Ave. Turn right onto Fitzgerald. Entry and Registration is directly ahead. Preregistered at 6th St. and show day registrations at 4th.


Changes to the foregoing instructions, if any, will be made without notice. Please check the website for last minute changes before travelling to the Show.
