In 1976, the idea of a wilderness camp for the use of people with disabilities was formulated by Isaac Iselmoe, a pioneer of the Peace Country. He left a portion of his estate to be used for the benefit of peoples with disabilities in the area.
A section of land 4 miles south of Grande Prairie on Highway 40, with 35 acres developed as the main campsite
The Rotary House has modern adapted washrooms with shower facilities, camp office, first aid room and a kitchenette/laundry room.
The Main Hall is a Log cabin with Seating Capacity for 100 with a Large fireplace, Outdoor BBQ and Comfortable couches
The Seminar Cabin has Seating for 30 people, Big screen TV & VCR and an Overhead projector
The Sleeping Cabins are heated cabins - dormitory style, sleeping capacity for 56 people with a semi private Adult/Councilor sleep area in
each cabin.
There are Playground & Trails, Hiking & Exercise Trails which are all wheelchair accessible as well as Small basketball and Beach volleyball area, Wheelchair accessible playground (was donated by Toys for Tots)
There is a Caretaker’s Cabin with On site caretaker and cook.
