So we are almost ready to roll…..off
like a herd of turtles
April 2
As we started our Adventure we were pleasantly reminded that
spring can be rather unpredictable.
Great Falls, MT brrrrr
April 5
We have now done 5 states in 5 days and are in Amarillo,
Texas – at this rate we’ll be home in 45
days J
April 7-9
The weather is 82+ and we are already finding it a little
warm. We spent the day power-touring San Antonio,
saw all the sights and survived the bus ride. San Antonio (it’s
much prettier than our pictures show)
April 11
Just a quick stay in Louisiana,
we visited an antebellum plantation “Nottoway”. This is a classic southern plantation that
has been well preserved through the years. Louisiana

April 13-14
We have started our Florida
visit in Panama City Beach. Spring break was winding down, so the beaches
were not too crowded. Weather is great
mid – low 80s.
April 15-18
Had a wonderful time visiting our CP Ships friends.
April 19-20
Spent a couple of days in the Florida Everglades, lucky all
of the Alligators had been fed the previous day so none of them were interested
in us visitors. The viewing areas were
great and many types of animals(Alligators, Turtles, Snakes, and Birds) were
easily visible.
April 21-25
4 days lazing away in “Margaritaville” AKA the Florida
Keys. Like a couple of
slugs, we enjoyed the hot weather, and just relaxing by the ocean.
April 26-29
We toured the Kennedy
Space Center,
Astronaut Hall of Fame and Daytona USA,
as you can see by the pictures we had fun at these locations. I suited up for a stock car ride on the
Daytona track at 160mph, what a rush.
The weather continues to cooperate as it rained one morning(free
car wash and boy it needed it) while we were in doors and it’s been sunny and
warm the others. We continue to enjoy
the wildlife in Florida with
opportunities to see: Armadillo(s),
Dolphins, Manatee and Owls.
April 30 – May 5
We arrived in St. Augustine
on April 30, enjoyed a walk to a local ice cream parlour (2k), most of the fun
came on the return when the skies opened up and rain came, and it came big
time. We got a lot of value on this
walk: exercise, free car & trailer wash, 2 free showers, the lightning for
entertainment, free laundry(at least for the clothes
we were wearing), still had to pay for the dryer. We have spent the remaining days touring St
Augustine, and enjoying the beach.
Here are our Florida
pictures. Florida
