Mission Statement   Our primary mission is to provide quality care to children in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment.   About Rainbow Preschool Rainbow Preschool was established in 1955.  Rainbow Preschool is a non-profit organization run by a committee of parents and staff.  We are certified by The Council of Parent Participation Preschools, who encourages play based learning.   Rainbow Preschool complies with regulations set out by Community Care Facilities Licensing and the Society Act, administered by the Provincial Government of B.C. through the local Health Units. Facility We are fortunate to have a spacious classroom filled with a rich assortment of quality play materials and equipment including dramatic play centre, tactile activities (i.e. water table, sand table, play dough table), puzzles and games, art, blocks, constructive toys and a science area. We also have an extensive children's library. The outside play area is a large fenced area with soft and bouncy tiles. The space is exclusively ours to use (i.e. we don't have to share the space with other preschools). It includes a large climbing apparatus with a slide, rockers, and a playhouse.
