| Shiver was the Red girl from our Team ICE litter. |
| She was a bit of a surprise for us as she just sort of popped at about 7 weeks of age. She has a very outgoing temperament and shows lots of working potential. Her structural evaluations were solid as well. |
| She has adapted to her new life on the farm and steadfast companion to Carol's 1 yr. old son Charlie very quickly and is quite enjoying herself. |
| Shiver also attended the USRC Sieger show with some of her littermates. Here is her critique from Judge Edgar Hellman: |
| "5 months old. Correct in height. Correct substance and bone. Calm and alert. Very good head. Dark brown eyes. Good stop. Straight forearms. Very good top and bottom line. Good angulation. Strong coat. Brown markings. Tail is docked. Free movement. Currently teething." |
| Carol and Shiver recently earned Shiver's HIC and are anxious to continue with some formal herding training for Shiver. Perhaps 2008 will find her in a trial arena somewhere! |
| The weekend of May 30-31, June 1-2, 2008 I had the pleasure of taking Shiver into the conformation ring for the first time as previously Shiver had always been shown by her handler. This was a real treat for me, and it couldn't have ended much better.....Shiver came home from the show with SEVEN POINTS!! |
| Late July, 2008 found Shiver and I making our debut in the herding trial arena. It was a bit wild at times, but we came away with Shiver's ASCA Started Trial Dog Duck title, with a 1st place on her second qualifying run, and one leg towards her Started Trial Dog Sheep title. Both of our judges, Steve Shope and Roy Sage had wonderful comments about Shiver's ability and promising future as a herding dog. |
| The long weekend in August we headed to Calgary, AB for Canada's largest outdoor show in search of the final points for Shiver's Championship. Unfortunately, we didn't finish Shiver, but she did pick up one more point putting her on 8. She also earned her Temperament Test title with her"other mother" Carol Gardon. Way to go guys! |
| September 13th & 14th saw Shiver and I return to the conformation ring in search of those final points for her Championship. We were successful on Sunday when Shiver went Best of Winners over a 4 year old male from the US to finish her Championship. Shiver earned all of her Championship points from the Bred By class with me handling her! |
| Now that we have that Championship out of the way it will be back to work for Shiver as she prepares for her Rally, Obedience and further Herding titles. |
| Ashemburg is proud to co-own Shiver with Carol Gardon and we are all very much looking forward to this girl's bright future. |
| Check back here often for updates on Shiver as she matures. |
