July 18th, 2008 Little Miss Wager is 6 months old today!

July 17, 2008 BAR NONE my most exciting and proud day thus far since getting into purebred dogs almost 7 years ago!  Our homebred boy, Ch. Ashemburg's Dark Side HIC TT a.k.a. Vader has been chosen to be one of the subjects for renowned artist Pidney Davidson's next piece titled "From the Shadows".  This piece is a tribute to all of the wonderful Rottweilers who have left this world before us.  WOW!  Vader's head shot was selected from 100's of photos submitted for consideration.   The print will be released August 8, 2008.

July 12 & 13, 2008 More great news from Calgary!  Today at the Evelyn Kenny show Vader's boy, Brogan went Best of Winners for another 3 points towards his Championship!  Congrats to his owners (who also handle him) Lindsay & Phyllis Bauder!!  Fantastic job guys!!  I am also proud to share that Ruckus (Brogan's brother) took Reserve Winners Dog both Saturday and Sunday, out of an entry of 5, and Brogan's sister Kalli went Reserve Winners Bitch on Sunday.  These kids and their owners are doing a fantastic job!

July 11, 2008 News just in from the Evelyn Kenny show down in Calgary.....Vader's son Brogan picked up another 2 points.  He is now sitting on 6 and closing in on his CH.   Do we have a race happening for the title of "First Champion Vader Kid"?  C'mon Kalli and Brogan!!

July 5 & 6, 2008 We attended the Cold Lake shows on Saturday and Sunday with Vader and his daughter Kalli (out of the Moka x Vader breeding).  On Saturday Vader won the breed and a Group 2 under Mr. Bud Haverstock and won the breed and made the cut in group under Mrs. J. Hunt.  Kalli went BOS, BOW & BP in both shows for her first 4 points.  On Sunday, Vader again won the breed at both shows and Kalli again went BOS, BOW & BP for adding 4 points which sent her home on 8!   I'd like to thank Kalli's owner Cindy Chan for entrusting me with Kalli and allowing me my first opportunity to show a Vader kid.  I think we did ok!  I'd also like to thank my good buddy Natasha Taphorn for once again handling Vader to perfection for me!

June 7, 2008 Our website has undergone a massive update!  Changes have been made to the following pages:  Fun Pics, Rayden, The Kidz, Uzza, Wager, Shiver, Vandal, and our Planned Breedings page.

May 30-31 & June 1 & 2, 2008 We spent a windy weekend at our first outdoor show of the year in Edmonton at the NACA shows.   Uzza added to her name on Friday earning her CGN title!  Uzza is now known as VP2 Rated CKC Pointed Ashemburg's Frozen Asset CGN HIC.  Later Friday afternoon Uzza's littermates - Jake and Shiver - hit the conformation rings.  This was my first opportunity to show Shiver so it was pretty exciting!  Jake went RWD and Shiver won the Bred By class.  On Sunday Shiver and I got a HUGE win under New Zealand Judge Mrs. R. Hubrich!  Shiver went Best of Opposite Sex & Best of Winners for FOUR POINTS from the Bred By class!!  These were Shiver's first points - what a way to start and what a thrill for me!!  On Monday it was an Ashemburg sweep on the points front with Jake going Winners Dog for another 2 points towards his Championship and Shiver going Winners Bitch & Best of Winners for another THREE POINTS!     Special Thanks to Trudy Taphorn for stepping in and showing Shiver (after she won the Bred By class) so that I could stay on Jake.  Her first weekend out with me Shiver came home with 7 points towards her Championship and brother Jake is now sitting on 6!   What a fantastic weekend for Team ICE!!

May 24, 2008 Great news from Akamai Rottweilers down in Calgary.....6 of the 10 "Horse Power" puppies, sired by Vader, attended a herding clinic in Stettler and earned their HIC titles today!  Got some really fantastic remarks from the tester on these kids and we are just so proud of them!  Here's hoping their Auntie Oakley and I will have some new recruits to herd with!  Thanks to all their wonderful owners for getting them out to the test!

May 24, 2008 Kiya now has a new forever home with Cherri Haywood in Calgary, AB.  Kiya is the 10th Rottweiler Rescue that Ashemburg has taken in and re-homed!!

May 9, 10 & 11, 2008 Vader attends his second show of the year in Medicine Hat, AB.  This time he made the trip with his Auntie Natasha so that I could attend a weekend of herding with his sister, Oakley, in preparation for her upcoming trials.  Vader and Natasha proved a great team winning Best of Breed all 3 days and topping it off with a Group 1st win on Saturday!!  This is our first group win and we are so proud that it was awarded to our home bred boy Vader.  Thank you to Judge Joan Beech for appreciating our boy enough to award him this honour.  Also, BIG thanks to Natasha Taphorn for showing Vader for us and for treating him so incredibly well on the trip!   It is a huge thrill for us to have our first home-bred Group winning dog!  We are very thankful to his beautiful Dam Jez who produced so amazingly well for us.  We owe all of our past and future success to our Special Princess Jez....a.k.a. SG Rated Ch. Shacoram's Legendary Lady CD PCD RL1 CGN HIC TT for she has brought us so far.

April 27, 2008 Vader's son Brogan attends the Washington Working Rottweiler Club Sieger Show and goes VP4 in the 6-9 month class with an entry of 8 under Canadian Breeder Judge Mr. Mike Jackman!!  Brogan is now VP4 Rated Akamai n Mokobreeze Giacomo and also has 4 points towards his Canadian Championship - owner handled!  Awesome news!

April 18-20, 2008 This weekend we attended the Edmonton Kennel Club shows and had another very fun weekend.  Showing in conformation was Ashemburg's Majestic Ice HIC a.k.a. Jake.  Jake started his weekend with another strong showing going RWD.  Ashemburg's Frozen Asset HIC a.k.a. Uzza finished our day earning the first leg of her Rally Novice title with a score of 94/100!  This was Uzza's first appearance in any working venue - not a bad start for a young girl of only 14 months, breeder/owner handled, as always.  Saturday Jake officially put himself on the board winning his first 2 points toward his Championship, breeder handled.  Sunday he shined again picking up another 2 points - WOOHOO - ending the weekend on 4!  We'd like to extend special thanks to Jake's owners, Tom & Brenda Hantos, for allowing us the opportunity to show Jake.

April 16, 2008 HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY WISHES TO OUR LEGEND BABIES!!   Hard to believe they are 3 already!  We are so incredibly proud of this litter.  It includes 3 Champions (and another pup with 5 points), two multi Best of Breed winners, two Group placers, one Best In Specialty Sweeps winner, one Winners Bitch Specialty winner, two V Rated bitches, one SG Rated male, one Best Puppy in Group winner, one Best Altered in Specialty winner, one CD title holder, one Started Trial Dog (Sheep) title holder, two Temperment Test titled kids and four Herding Instinct Certificate holders!  These kids are really living up to their litter theme!!   Ashemburg sends hugs and kisses to Tanner, Akyra, Dory, Cody, Inka, Oakley, Vader, Ruger, Jade, Virgil and Dakota!

April 11-13, 2008 Where to start.....we've been blessed enough to have another fantastic weekend.  Vader and I travelled to Battleford for the show there.  Vader went Best of Breed all 3 days with a Group 4 on the Friday under Mr. Martin Doherty.  These wins made Vader the #6 Rottweiler in Canada according to Best Dog In Canada stats effective April 14th, 2008.  Even better...he was breeder/owner handled!  We arrived home Sunday evening to receive a call from Guardian Angel Rottweilers to tell us that Vader's 2nd litter of kids had made their arrival.  Help us to welcome 12 Vader x Roxy babies to the world - 6 boys & 6 girls!  In case that wasn't good enough....I just received an email informing me that Brogan (Vader x Moka) took another 3 points towards his Championship this weekend in Chilliwack BC.  WOW!  Thanks Vader (and his beautiful girlfriends)....for an amazing weekend!

March 25, 2008 Our Fire Litter has their final evaluations done today.  They will start leaving for their new homes next week.  Time truly goes by too quickly!

March 22, 23 & 24, 2008 We attended the Camrose dog show this weekend with our very green boy Ashemburg's Majestic Ice HIC a.k.a. Jake.  Jake started off the weekend not sure about this whole show dog thing, but he showed better everyday and despite a steep learning curve (read:  no handling classes, my BAD!) he managed to go Reserve Winners Dog all 3 days.  Jake is maturing into a gorgeous young dog and I have no doubt that with a bit more experience the points will come easily for him.

March 21, 2008 Great news!  It's official.....Vader will be a Daddy again!  Roxy is confirmed pregnant!  Puppies are due mid April!

February 29th, March 1st & 2nd, 2007 Vader's kids are on the board!   This weekend in Calgary at the CKOC show 3 puppies from the Vader x Moka breeding made their CKC debut.  Vader's beautiful daughter Kalli was Best Puppy in Breed all 3 days.  Two of his sons, Brogan and Ruckus, shared the limelight.  Brogan was Winners Dog on Saturday and Ruckus was Winners Dog on Sunday giving them each their first point towards their Championships!   Daddy Vader and Grandma Marina are VERY proud of these kids!

February 24, 2008 Today we celebrated the 1st birthday of Team ICE with a puppy birthday party!  Many members of Team ICE were missing...but those in attendance had A LOT of fun....some cupcakes and party bags!

February 18, 2008 Another beautiful day of herding.  This trip we took out Shiver and Inka.  Shiver is coming along very nicely and is showing lots of promise.  Inka, never having seen any type of stock before, earned her HIC with flying colours!

February 14, 2008 Love is in the air!  The Vader x Roxy breeding is complete!.  Puppies hoped for mid-April.......perhaps for Daddy's birthday on the 16th??  That would be cool!

February 13, 2008 Happy 1st Birthday wishes to our Team ICE litter!!  I can't believe a year is gone already.  There are many exciting things in the works for some of these kids this year.....stayed tuned to see what they are up to as the year progresses.  I hope to have LOTS to report!   Everyone here at Ashemburg sends hugs & kisses and A Happy Birthday to Maverick, Bode, Ruby, Shiver, Thea, Jake, Rayden, Gia, Uzza & Ty!

January 30, 2008 Oakley honored her Mom Jez in 1st class fashion by marking the occasion of Jez's 6th birthday by whelping some babies of her own!  Join us in welcoming our Fire Litter.....Tangerine Girl, Cherry Girl and Lime Boy.  Lime Boy made history by checking in as the largest ever Ashemburg puppy to date....Yes, even bigger than Uncle Vader was at birth!!  Lime weighed in at a staggering 1 lb. 3.6 oz....my poor little Oakley!  Cherry Girl also topped Uncle Vader's previous record by weighing in at 1 lb. 1.6 oz.....and the "peanut" of the litter is Tangerine Girl weighing in at a hearty 14.8 oz.
