Purifiner Oil Purification
Continuous maintenance of lubricating and hydraulic oil is critical to the long term health of your machinery. RTS Marine and Power are proud to be the Canadian representatives for the Purifiner oil cleansing system. The Purifiner System by Age S. Waagene A.S. has a world patent. It removes contaminants in oil to the finest limits. The clean oil exceeds all manufacturers requirements down to NAS 4 or ISO 13/10. Clean oil will ensure that your machinery is protected against undue wear and tear. The Purifiner filters hydraulic and lubricating oils with a shear of up to 150 cSt (centistokes) at 40 deg C. If oil temperature is low the pre-heater is used to gain a suitable viscosity and thereby, oil flow. The standard pre-heater has a range of between 5 and 80 Deg C. At 80 degrees 320 cSt oils have a viscosity of about 120 cSt, well within the capability of the Purifiner. This temperature raise has no effect on most oils structure or integrity. This is because 80 Deg C is usually within the operating range of most oils. This however must be checked against your specific oil data to make sure. After treatment, oil returned to system is usually just few degrees higher than the feed temperature and does not normally need to be considered because the volume of oil feeding back to a system is low at about 600 ltrs per 24 hours.

The unique Cotton Filter Element removes solids down to 1mu, and acts as a magnet for acids removing them from the system. The evaporation unit removes water down to 100 ppm and acid causing gaseous elements. The result, pure clean oil. Oil life is greatly extended along with machine life. Unlike some systems, there is no water absorbing filter to change so the amount of water that it is possible to remove is unlimited. Only a small percentage of water is retained in the unique cotton filter. There is an evaporation valve that is normally open. This allows water vapor and gaseous elements to escape to the atmosphere. There is an automatic shut off built into this valve that is activated should the return line become clogged leading to oil build up within the cap. This avoids the possibility of oil flowing through the vent pipe.
Units are mounted on stainless steel bases
The complete unit is compact and can be used, if desired as a portable cleansing system. Although some customers do use the unit to clean different systems, because oil is continuously contaminated, it is best to continuously clean it. For this reason we recommend that the unit be dedicated to protecting one piece of equipment. The unit comes equipped with suction and, (if required), return pumps that circulate the oil through the Purifiner system. The units are also delivered with pre-filter heaters that lower the viscosity of the oil making it pass through the filtering unit quicker.
