Purifiner Hydraulic Filtration
Purifiner for Mobile Hydraulic Equipment
Realizing how they could benefit from using the Purifiner technology on mobile hydraulic equipment, customers requested we develop such a system. Utilizing a pressure reducing valve, this was achieved. Because this system relies on hydraulic system pressure for its oil feed, it does not require a feed pump. Oil is returned by gravity. Because there is no return pump and oil return relies on gravity, the oil has to be delivered back to a pressure free oil reservoir. Installation is simple. A connection is taken from the pressurized feed line of any part of the machine or from the pressurized return line. The maximum inlet pressure must not exceed 200 Bar. The minimum and maximum pressures required to operate the Purifiner filter is between 3 and 4 Bar. The pressure reducing valve reduces line pressure to this value. It is connected between the filter inlet and the equipment. A pressure gauge is installed after the valve for pressure setting purposes. The only other connections to be made include the return pipe and the electrical supply for the heating element in the evaporation chamber. Hundreds of these filter units are working around the world. The benefit for owners is that their equipment last many times longer than normal and their oil change requirements are greatly reduced. When Purifiner is installed, oil quality and life is greatly extended. In tests, it lasted 18 times longer than was normally the case. The oil is filtered down to NAS4 standards. This means 1mu particle size and 100 ppm water content. Acids are also removed.
