Artist Biography

H.A. (Sandy) Robinson

Sandy was born and raised in Jasper and is now retired and painting fulltime. He is a self taught artist who has continually studied his craft by attending the Banff School of Fine Arts as well as studio and field courses with internationally known artists such as Harold Demont Olsen, Gregg Johnson, Jack Reid, Ron Ranson, and Brian Atyeo. He has also taught introductory and basic watercolour courses throughout Alberta and BC and at Grant MacEwan Community College in Edmonton, Alberta. Sandy enjoys painting in and around Jasper National Park, coastal British Columbia and Whistler, and Europe. Please view a sample of his work on the Prints & Note Cards page.

Sandy's original watercolours and prints are in private collections around the world. He welcomes commissions  for both private purchase (with no commitment to purchase if not satisfied) and for donation to charities and non-profits such as Shrine, Ducks Unlimited, and local fund raising events. Prices for original work vary according to the sheet size.
