Berte Cui Quan Marr, Dr.TCM.
My
Background
I have had advanced
training and interned at the University Hospital of Guanzhou, the University
Hospital of Chengdu. Knowledge and training in the Tung’s Extra Point system as
well as Jin’s Three Point acupuncture therapy.
I
have spent much of my extra time outside of clinical practice providing public
education and promoting the true essence of Traditional Chinese Medicine to
inform the public about the complete system of this energetic medicine. I
participated in 13-part series called, “At Home with Herbs” which was aired on
Knowledge Network and other TV stations where I provided information on specific
topics related to Chinese medicine. I had also participated in assisting other
doctors in China to edit, provide language assistance, wording and valuable
suggestions to produce books for English speaking practitioners. Some of the
publications printed are, “Essentials for the Clinical Practise of Acupuncture
and Moxibustion”; “Collection of Papers for the 2nd International
Congress of TCM”; and “Applied Medical Chinese Acupuncture Therapy”. Most
recently, I am serving as one of the Directors on the Board of the TCM
Association of BC. I have been actively involved politically and with the TCMABC
since 1994 to bring the profession to its recognition to date. I am presently
still working hard along with the other TCMABC board members to advance the
profession. I will continue to pursue advanced education to further assist in a
blending of TCM with Western medicine diseases as well as providing more public
awareness about the great benefit of this medicine.
