Exercise 4B

In this exercise, a number of sentences taken from the actual hieratic are presented to you.  These may involve any of the items covered in these lessons - phonetic signs, determinatives, ligatures, etc.  All are in the original early 12th Dynasty handwriting.

Now you're ready to try reading at least parts of an actual hieratic text (The Shipwrecked Sailor)!
