You guys
are now at the top of my prayer list. My Stepfather went through lung
cancer this past spring, had his lung removed, and his probability of
survival went from 10% to 90%. I prayer a lot and it worked. I will
switch to your son, and I’m sure my prayers
will be answered again.
Take care
and God bless.

My sister Bernice called and said that the
following lady had come to their church yesterday, believing that God
wanted her to be there especially. She is willing to give Michael bone
marrow if required:

God still sits on the throne. Each of
you is going through a tough time right
now but God is getting ready to bless you
in a way that only He can. Keep the faith.

Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives
and
email buddies reading this right now. Show them a
new
revelation of Your love and power. Holy
Spirit,
I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very
moment.
Where there is pain, give them Your peace and
mercy.
Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed
confidence
through Your grace. Bless their homes, families,
finances,
their goings and their comings. In Jesus' precious
name.
Amen.

Hi Sharon,
I thought about you and your family all weekend. Every time I looked at
my children all I could do is think about Michael and what he is going
through. I pray that they will find a bone marrow match quickly. Just
know that we are all thinking about you and praying for you and your
family. Have faith and if you need more time, let me know, and I will
cover you. Take care of yourself.

| Hi Shane,Sharon, Katie and Michael, I
just wanted to send you a quick note to let you all know that you are in
our thoughts and prayers. We do appreciate the website so that we can
track Michael's progress. Although we haven't had to deal with something
like this, as a mother/father and siblings, we can understand the
struggle it must be. Just know that we are all here for you, and we hope
for the best, and that it comes quickly.
I know that Michael is undergoing treatment, but if there is a need
for a bone marrow transplant, we are more than willing to undergo the
test to determine if any of us are a match.

Shane, Sharon, Katelyn and most especially
young Michael...............
Be strong, cling to each other, to your
faith, and gather all the hope you can muster! Our many prayers will
be with you.
We appreciate the updates and information
that you provide on your web-site and will be checking daily to see
how Michael (and all three of you) are doing.
Know that if it turns out that you need
more blood, testing done for bone marrow donation, someone to talk to
at 3 am, we're here, and while we have no idea how you must feel or
what you are going through, we are here for you!
Love to you all.

"When
I visited Grandma Dueck on Monday, I told her that Michael was in
hospital and quite ill. Even though her memory is going and she was a
little less "with it" due to her fall last Friday, she immediately
wanted to pray for him and for you as a family.
And
so, in the middle of her small garden at
Bethesda Place,
she prayed a very moving prayer that Michael would be healed and that
you'd all find the strength to bear this very great burden as you go
through this difficult time of waiting. I thought it was fitting that
this prayer happened while we were in the Bethesda Place garden where
flowers were blooming vigorously, and also, given the association that
the nursing home name has with healing in the pool of
Bethesda."
I
also suggested that perhaps people could set up a little prayer center
for Michael in their homes. Maybe a rose bowl of water with a floating
candle inside which could be lit when we're praying for him, to
symbolize the healing water of that story in the Bible.
This
afternoon, I bought a blue candle for Michael and we'll light it when we
pray for him and for you tonight.
Love,
Leona and Peter |

Hi
Shane & Sharon,
I
have kept you all in my prayers since Mary called, in tears... I feel
sooo badly for little Michael & for you all. This brings to memory when
our boys were born, Adam with multiple birth traumas, Anthony was a blue
baby, & when we came so close to losing Andrew due to a weird asthma.
Parents hearts ache more deeply than we can express... Many prayers
were said on their / our behalf & we have been so blessed with these
boys. So, I believe in prayers, infact those are the times that I had
to rely on the God above all gods & with that came bits of renewal of
faith. So these are the hard times but God is present, even when we do
not recognize Him.
Know that Michael & you are constantly in our prayers,
Judy |

Hi
Sharon, Shane & Katie
When we learned of Michael's illness we called your Mum and got the
latest updates. Also we've been checking your website. Our prayers are
for a complete recovery for Michael and our hearts go out to all of you
for what you are going through. There is nothing more precious than a
little child (Grampa's buddy I believe), and truly believe that God does
answer prayers. You have such a good family supporting you and we know
they will do everything they can to help.
May God bless all four of you and especially Michael.

We

continuing to pray as well. We are claiming a complete recovery for
Michael!!!
If
there is anything I can do to help (will you need help getting your
house ready for Michael when he comes home? etc..)please let me know.

| Dear Sharon and Shane,
(Sharon) not sure if you remember me,
we met not too long ago.
I just found out about Michael and as I read
through his web page, a rush of thoughts and feelings came to me I'd
like to share with you.
My mother became very ill on the day of
my wedding, May 16, 1997. After many hospital and Dr. visits she was
told she had liver cancer and would not live long. Although she
kept this diagnosis from me for a while, I knew it was serious from the
pain she was in and the terrible yellow colour her skin turned.
She underwent surgery to investigate and remove the masses seen on the
ultrasound in her uterus, ovaries, kidneys and liver. My mother is
a devout Catholic, in fact she is part of the Charismatic movement.
Her good friend from her church told her..."even if they tell you that
you are dying of cancer, don't believe it because God will save you".
The surgery showed that it was not
cancer, the masses were benign and the shadows on the liver and kidneys
were just that, shadows...the Drs could not believe it. Her pain
subsided and her colour returned to normal.
To this day, I firmly believe that her
unrelenting faith in God and the prayers from her church community cured
her.
My mother has since dedicated her life to
God, His church and serving his community.
So, I believe in miracles and I believe
your faith will get you and your family through this trial.
One more thing you should know, I'd
forgotten how wonderful it is to feel God's presence in one's
life....I've been struggling spiritually for a long time and neglected
my faith.
The story of your wonderful family, your
strong faith and little Michael have moved me to return to God and my
Church. I suddenly feel the need to feel His presence again. I feel
Him calling me back through you.
So thank you for sharing your story and
be assured that you will be in our prayers.
Please don't hesitate to call if we can
be of any assistance to you or your family. Perhaps it would be
beneficial for Katie to come to my house to play with my girls? Let me
know.
