Mehndi

Mehndi, also known as 'Henna' is a process of temporary tattoos. It is originated from a plant called Lawsonia. It is only grown in tropical and subtropical regions in Africa, Southern Asia, and Northern Australasia in semi-arid zones. The Henna plant is dried and powdered. It is then mixed with tea, coffee, cloves or tamarind to form a paste.

The paste is then applied to any part of the body and is 100% natural and safe. Traditionally for brides, the henna is applied to the front and back of the hands and feet with a cone. The paste can be left on for as little as a half an hour and will leave a reddish dye on the skin.
