The Reunion committee is proud to sponsor the Soren Olsen/Bertha Jorgensen family reunion with special invitation to Soren/ Margrethe family. For the second time a concerted effort has been made to make contact and build association with “the Danish family” as many of the family in Denmark call it. As you may know, Soren and Margrethe had 8 living married children when Margrethe died and Soren joined the Mormon Church in Denmark. He left Denmark in 1852, met Bertha Jorgensen (Petersdatter) on the boat and they were married in St. Louis. There is a large extended family now, too many to count.

We are mainly planning activities to get to know each other and to find out more about our heritage. Please bring any pictures and life histories with you. We are particularly looking for life histories of Bertha, her children and anything about the Danish family.

Ice cream social will be at 7 p.m. (this will be provided)

7:00pm - 9:00 pm visiting and looking at displays
Saturday, July, 21st
10:00 a.m.-12:00 a.m.- Registration, display set-up, visits, pictures, kids games and skits
12:00 p.m.- Lunch provided as a part of the registration cost.
1:00 p.m.- Program
1:30 p.m. (or whenever program ends) to 3:00 p.m.

TO GET TO Sandy Utah Cottonwood Creek Stake Center
From I-15 take the I-215 East exit._ From I-215 Eastbound take the "Union Park South" exit. Turn off of "Union Park Avenue" onto a street called "Creek Road" (7340 South). Creek Road will wind slightly, and the Stake Center is right off of Creek Road at: 1535 East Creek Road Sandy, Utah

If people would like to arrive in Salt Lake City before the reunion officially starts, (you are welcome to come early on Friday if you wish), or would like to stay in town after the reunion ends.

Temple Square _Family History Library _Museum of Church History and Art _Joseph Smith Building (formerly the Old Hotel Utah) _Hogel Zoo _This is the Place Monument _Many restaurants and fast food places _Salt Lake Bees Baseball (Salt Lake City's baseball team) (Home games on 7/24, 7/25, 7/26, 7/27--all games start at 7:05 P.M. _Drive up Little Cottonwood canyon for a Tram Ride at Snowbird Ski Resort, or for dinner.

As a note to those people staying in Salt Lake City following the reunion: Commemorating the arrival of the Pioneers, Salt Lake hosts a big 24th of July parade downtown that you could go to, if interested. There will also be Fireworks throughout the valley that night.
In order for us to arrange for the meal that is provided on Saturday and other plans, we would love to know how many are coming. Print out the registration form that you can find on the Reunion web site and fill it out and send it, with a check, to Myrna Olsen. (the address is on the registration form)
