Summer Solstice
We will be gathering at the top of Mt. Tabor to celebrate the Summer Solstice and to send positive energy to Tre and Mother Earth. Heal yourself, heal the earth, and heal Tre.
WHAT: Summer Solstice-Energy Circle for Tre
WHEN: June 20th, Friday @ 5:30PM
WHERE: Top of Mt.Tabor
WHY: This has been a really long road for Tre and he could really use our love, light, and healing energy. Tre is aware this is happening and he will be receiving the energy at 5:45pm. If you cannot make it to Mt. Tabor, please still send him positive energy at 5:45pm wherever you are.
Summer officially begins with the Summer Solstice on Friday, June 20 at 4:59pm. Sol + stice derives from a combination of Latin words meaning "sun" + "to stand still." As the days lengthen, the sun rises higher and higher until it seems to stand still in the sky.
As a major celestial event, the Summer Solstice results in the longest day and the shortest night of the year. The Northern Hemisphere celebrates in June, but the people on the Southern half of the earth have their longest summer day in December.
The Summer Solstice represent a new beginning. It is time for purification, and renewal of the self. A time to release the sadness, fears, and pains from your life. It is time to celebrate the joy, warmth, and laughter of summer. A time for purification and renewed energy. A time to celebrate the fullness of life and the power of the sun. A time to heal mother earth, heal yourself, and heal Tre.

Prayer Vigil
Monday, March 13th 5:30PM (PST)
Meet outside the prison gate at the VIRCC
On March 13th, 2006, at 6 pm sharp, a prayer vigil will be held to offer strength for Tre Arrow in front of the Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Center. This day marks two years of incarceration for Tre and the beginning of a 24-day hunger strike in protest of the injustice he continues to endure while appealing extradition to the U.S.
A CRITICAL MASS bike rally will make their way from downtown Victoria to the Vancouver Island Correctional Centre on Monday to carry a positive message for Tre. Those who wish to participate are asked to meet between 4:44 and 5:25 pm at the Dreamspace, which is located at 751 Discovery St. (across Blanshard from the Save-On Foods Centre).
For those without bikes, please feel encouraged to use mass transit. Take bus route 8, 21, or 22. The Vancouver Island Regional Correction Center is only a five-minute walk from the bus stop at Interurban and Wilkinson Rd. (approximately 0.5km from Camosun College).
You can call Victoria Transit Information at 1-250-382-6161 or visit Victoria Regional Transit System for precise transit instructions/times.
Ridesharing may also be available. Send messages to rideshare|at|planet-save.net
Over the course of the past fourteen years, Tre has lived a life dedicated to peaceful activism in social, environmental and political realms. As an extremely effective and outspoken organizer, Tre found himself at the forefront of an environmental movement, which successfully interfered with industrial powers. As a result, he has fallen victim to what appears to be a widespread campaign to silence the voices of conscience that choose to speak truth to power.
April 4th is the day when Minister of Justice Vic Toews will make his decision regarding Tre’s extradition. If ever there was a time to send courage and strength to this conscientious individual, now is that time. It is hard for many of us to imagine the stark reality of this situation and how it applies to all of us who value truth and democracy. As we watch this society degenerate the point where civil liberties are greatly endangered, it is beyond time to ground our prayers for a positive future for all our children.
Tre has respectfully asked to have two designated spokespeople who will represent the message of this vigil to the media who will be present. It is very important for all in attendance to honor this request and not engage with the media, for the purpose of not allowing our peaceful intentions to be distorted.
For more unfolding details, there will be a meeting on Friday March 10th at 7pm at the Dreamspace, which is located at 751 Discovery Street in Victoria. Please bring scrap paper for note-taking. We intend to do some silkscreening, so if you have any old t-shirts or fabric scraps for patches, bring them along too!
Hope to see you there, and spread the word!

Fernwood Community Association (1923 Fernwood Road) Victoria BC
The Victoria chapter of the Tre Arrow Defence Committee presents Freedom's Arrow: A Benefit for Tre Arrow. All proceeds from the show will go directly to the Tre Arrow Legal Defence Fund, as we enter the final stages of an epic build up to the extradition hearing, which begins the following Monday (27 June) in Vancouver. Beyond the financial aspect, this show is hoping to raise awareness and support for both Tre and the environment we all share. We will also attempt to arrange caravans to Vancouver to support Tre during the hearing.
The line-up for this show (the third to be held in Victoria since Tre's arrest) is easily the best one yet, featuring a great mix of music, poetry and guest speakers. There will also be juices, teas + vegan goodies available at Dustin's concession corner. Community is important to Tre, and to we as well. We therefore invite all of Victoria to come take part in the evening.
Here's a look at the line-up for the show:
- RAE SPOON - Hot on the heels of his present tour, Rae will be bringing his own unique country twang across the waters for our enjoyment. (www.raespoon.com)
- SARAH NONI METZNER - returning once again to her Victoria roots, Sarah will unofficially begin her summer touring season bringing her acoustic delight to the F.C.A. (www.sarahmetzner.ca)
- GLENNA G - No stranger to many Victorians, Glenna's whimsical songs will satiate local fans, while winning over any strangers as well. (www.glennathestar.com)
- ORY NO'MAN - A lot has happened to ory no'man since Tre's arrest spelled the demise of their just-birthing band; now with his one-man band, ory will shine his enigmatic bluesfolk overtones on the city he once called home. (www.orynoman.ca)
- THE VICTORIA POETRY SLAM TEAM - The VPST will show folks why they've been chosen to represent this city in the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word at the dawning of Vancouver autumn.
- MASS - Local instrumentalists look to take listeners on a journey through organic soundscapes and undercurrents.
Through collective union of art and music on this eve of solstice, we will raise awareness of human rights and environmental action, while harnessing and channeling positive vibrations to a man facing down the machine.

April 8th benefit show a HUGE success
The Victoria Musical benefit show on April 8th was an awesome success. Over 50 people came out and helped raise close to $500.00 for Tre's legal defense. It's these types of actions and support which will make it possible for me to raise enough money , Tre said after hearing about the amount raised by the Victoria Chapter of the Tre Arrow Defense Committee. My biggest and highest love and respect to all the members of my Victoria Defense Committee, the musicians and all the folks who came out in support of my struggle. Namaste to you all.
