Dennis
Dennis is using the Cat 966 loader to fill the snowmelter to supply water for the rig and camp. Since the permafrost extended for over a thousand feet, the only way we could get water was to melt snow. The snow was dumped into huge tanks and was melted with large diesel fired burners. To melt enough water to keep the rig and camp running required about 400 gallons of diesel fuel a day. |
