They Came To Prepare The Land
This monument was built to honour the 32 men who died when one of the company's Electra aircraft crashed at Rea Point. It stands on a small hill just south of the camp site overlooking the site of the crash. The Inukshuk was a type of scarecrow used by the Eskimo to help them herd caribou. The handsome fellow beside it is of course me. |
