A lot of the roads we travelled on were either gravel or dirt - some were just unimproved trails. This was the highway from Rocky Mountain House to Nordegg
     - it has since been improved and paved and is a beautiful drive. It now joins up with the Columbia Icefields Parkway that goes from Banff to Jasper.
