Phi fitness periodized personal training programs:

An initial 1 hour consultation is offered to interact and exchange ideas to determine the best plan to follow.  After completing a medical questionnaire, a physical assessment will be performed.  The purpose of this assessment is to identify strengths and weaknesses and to provide a realistic picture of current level of fitness and health condition.  The physical assessment is composed of the following:

Pre-appraisal procedures
  • Resting heart rate measurement
  • Resting blood pressure measurement

Healthy body Composition

Anthropometric measurements:

  • Standing height
  • Body mass (weight)
  • waist circumference (measures distribution of visceral body fat)
  • skinfold measurements (measures body fat beneath the skin)
  • After these procedures are completed, the test results will be interpreted and a specific program that meets your needs will be designed.

Tom will pre-plan your personal training sessions which progress every 4 to 6 weeks through different training phases.  These phases further break down into smaller sessions which emphasize specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-framed goals.

Sessions will consist of a warm-up, cardiovascular and/or strength resistance training, flexibility training and a cool-down.  The exercises will be tailored to suit each individuals specific requirements and goals.  Tom encourages clients use their own fitness equipment.  If required, Tom will bring his own equipment to perform and demonstrate exercises.

Example 2 – Mondays from 10am – 11am, and Thursdays from 4pm – 5pm

Clients can switch timeslots at any time provided there is a timeslot available which better accommodates their schedule.
