Greetings, eh? Below, you will find pricing information on CDs, as
well as shipping and handling charges, and the customs surcharge.
You will need to know all the costs applicable to you if you decide to place
an order.
Disclaimer: As I mentioned before, I offer
CDs at low, low prices. But how are they so low? Simple -
I order my CDs from companies in Taiwan - Son May Industry Co. Ltd.
, Ever Anime International, and Ho-Son Records. They sell bootlegs
of original Japanese CDs for much less than the original itself. Of
course, this means that the CDs are illegal in other countries, so it's a
buying decision you have to make yourself.
If you would like more information on Son May, please read
the FAQ. I do not have much, if any, info
on the other two companies, as I order these CDs through a wholesaler. By
doing this, the prices are slightly more expensive, but it also means that
I can widen my selection.
Before I show my pricing scheme, here's Son May's pricing
scheme:
Son May
Records:
For an order of less than ten CDs: $10.00 US each, plus $15.00 S&H
For an order of 10 to 29 CDs:
$10.00 US each, NO S&H
For an order of 30 or more:
$6.75 US each, NO S&H
Good plan, but you have to buy more than 10 in order to get a good deal.
Beej's CD Shoppe:
For a collective order of less than ten CDs
: $10.00 US each, plus
*
For a collective order of 10 to 29 CDs
: $10.00
US each, plus *
For a collective order of 30 or more
:
$8.00 US each, plus *
If I get more than 30
CDs on the order, I'll let everyone know, OK?
Shipping and Handling
[
* ] The star (
* ) denotes enough shipping and handling (S&H)
to send your CDs from my office (in Canada) to your address.
All prices are in US$ for Canada Post Air Mail
, which is quick, but slightly more expensive. If you prefer to receive
CDs by surface mail, which is much slower but less expensive, please
e-mail Beej for prices
and include your address.
If orders originate from Edmonton, St. Albert, or the surrounding area,
then you can come pick them up, or send someone with identification to come
pick them up. Be sure to give me prior notice, though.
*** All S&H prices inlcude postage and packaging. See below for customs
surcharge. ***
A Customs Surcharge?
Yes,
yes, I can hear a lot of you shaking your heads. The problem is that
as of Order 008, I found that I was subsidizing the orders with my own money.
Seeing as how this service is supposed to break even for the benefit of all
involved, I've had to implement a customs surcharge to cover my costs.
The fairest way of implementing this is to
have each customer pay $1.00 US extra for every CD they buy.
You purchase five CDs, you pay $5.00 US in addition to the CD prices
and S&H.
The easiest way to think about this is when the collective
order reaches 30 CDs, you pay $9.00 US per CD, instead
of $8.00 US .
Note: The Surcharge applies all of the time - unless
I say otherwise for a particular order. If I can devise a fairer way
to do this, I will.
Tips (optional)
One more
thing: this is purely voluntary, but if
you want to, you can leave me a gratuity (that
means, TIP) for the hard work I've done putting
this order together. Keep in mind - this
is only if you want to - YOU DON'T HAVE TO.
I'll keep taking orders even if I don't get anything back. I'm not
doing this for profit. |
