Message from
the Curator
Greetings, eh?
Welcome
to The Compleat Sailor Moon CD List! I'm glad you showed
up! In the few years that this site has been active, we've
changed
domains many times. First, we were located at AWINC, with a
modest
(read: ugly) front end. However, looks were not important for two
reasons: 1) the page could then load faster, and 2) it was the
curator's first web site. ^_^ Next, it was a minimal shift
to MemLane.com. More updates abounded, and I decided it was high
time for an overhaul. Unforunately, by the time it came to pass,
I was enrolled at the U of Eh and had to endure a move to a brand new
server with brand new rules.
And then the impossible occurred. After
a
year, the List grew too large for the generous allotment of 5 MB I was
given. Faced with either relocating part of the site to
another server or downgrading the picture quality, I chose option
#3. I accepted a most gracious offer from the Lizzard for 20 MB
of
space on her server.
For
one-point-five years, Lizzard.net had been the home for a brand new
List, but sadly the day came when it was time
for
the List to move again. At this point, I'd like to thank
Lizzard for her generosity, as the time I spent on her server was great.
After that, I
found a home at Anime
Alberta.org, a coalition of anime clubs located in my home province
of Alberta. A slight problem meant I had to leave the server for
a while, and instead relocate to web space donated by Vermin. We
spent a few months there but after AA.org reopened its doors, I moved
the List back again.
And then, I had to move a couple more times.
We spent some time on plaza.powersurfr.com, but along with a move
to a new house, I had to move to a new provider (I was sick of cable
access, and decided to go to DSL) and ended up on Telus.net. Good
God... if I have to move again...
Throughout all
of this, I'd like to feel that I've been committed to bringing the most accurate, up-to-date info on Sailor Moon CDs
to the rest of the Web and more importantly, to your desktop. I'd
like to thank everyone who has made the List a success thus far.
It was your patronage and letters of praise that has turned this pet
project into the recommended resource it is today. Please enjoy the List.

Site Info and Trivia -
your Guide to the List
- Do NOTdownload more than one
song at a time - this restricts traffic on
the MP3 Archives and makes it more difficult for other people to
dload the songs they want. Think I'm fooling? Try doing
it for a while and see if the Archive SysAdmins tolerate it for much
longer. . .
- Do
NOT
hammer the server when trying to get in.
A lot of you want in so bad that you are hitting the server with
requests several times a second. This is the same a generating a
Denial of Service attack and can get you banned from the server and
even
prosecuted by the Internet Service Provider hosting the server.
If
you're using a download program to get into the server, set it to a
respectable retry value. If you can't get in after 15 minutes,
try another link or come back later.
- OK,
I understand that there are some
people who cannot play MP3s, or at least
they have a tough time doing so. I would offer MP2s in
addition to the MP3s on my site if it wasn't for a few reasons:
- MP2 is outdated. You get better sound for the ratio of
compression with MP3.
- Everyone
uses MP3s, for the reason above.
- I
don't own all the CDs, so changing each
MP3 into an MP2 would be an enormous undertaking.
- James,
the Co-Curator, owns all the CDs ,
but he's busy with other things in his life. I don't think he'll
want to go back and make MP2s of every single song on his
CDs. Would you? ^_-
- I
only have a limited amount of space on my server - just enough to host my web site. The
MP3s are kept off-site at privately-owned archives.
- The
SysAdmins do not have the hard drive space
to keep copies of both MP2s and MP3s. Asking
them to attempt such a feat would really put me on their
bad sides. ^_^
- Please note
that I do NOT run the MP3 archives. If you have problems
accessing it, you can e-mail me with your problem, but I can't
guarantee
that I can help. You must include, though, the link that is
giving you problems and the page on which it is located.
Otherwise, I can't help.
- The
feather from the "Page Info &
History"
graphic above is from a picture of Van and Hitomi from "The Vision of
Escaflowne".
- Yes, I drew the SD-pics of
James and myself.
- To
build this site, I use Netscape (now
Mozilla) Composer, Adobe Photoshop 5.0, and CorelDRAW! 7. And
now,
The GIMP!
- Programs
I recommend to get the most of this
site (and Linux equivalents): Mozilla (Mozilla), GetRight
(Downloader for X), and WinAmp (XMMS).
- I always
answer my e-mail - if not the same day,
then
at least within the next two days. If I don't answer, feel free
to
e-mail me again. No need to ask me to reply right away.
- Please
do not send me attachments through e-mail
unless I explicitly request that you do.
- Do
NOT send questions regarding CD ordering
to bdery@ualberta.ca. If you do so, I could have my internet
access revoked. Please use the address supplied at the Shoppe.
- You'll probably also notice these new OGG format files
showing up on List archives. I've requested that the archivists
move to OGG instead of MP3, as the OGG format is freely available and
is
a good ideological fit for me (personally). "But isn't MP3 also
freely available?" you ask. Yes - for now, it is. But the
company that owns MP3 could always choose to start exploiting it for
profit. Using OGG files neatly sidesteps around that. No
worries - these should sound just as good as MP3s and are supposed to
be a lot smaller. I figure the more I can help the adoption of
OGG, the better. You can find info on OGG at this site.
- What
the hell is this OGG crap? Many apologies to those of you
with older computers - I don't know if OGGs will play well or
not. I sincerely hope they do and that you can find a good
player. For the Windows set, Winamp 2.80 or higher is purported
to play OGGs. As for you hardcode Linux folk, I like XMMS but
that's because I like my Spike Spiegal skin.
- .
. . more to come . . .

List Updates
Apr. 16/03
- The final-exam, end-of-school, bluuuuues...
Greetings,
eh? Really, it wouldn't be so bad if they could just *tell* me if
I've been accepted to the Masters of Education program. If I'm
not going to get in there, I'll have to fall back on moving to Calgary
and joining U of C's Masters of the Universe program...
Wow diggity - did Beej really update the main index of the List?
Ju betchas! I am certainly in control of this fun little
venture. Info sheets shall flow like water from Ra's
hands... wait, he was the Sun God, right? It shall flow like white-hot hydrogen-fusion by-product
from Ra's hands.
The database will begin shortly,
but even despite a prevailing tailwind, there's probably a good chance
that it will *not* make it to the Web by the End of Summer. I'll
have to find a Webhost who can manage it first and that means money. But that's what
the summer is for - especially if this woman I've been calling won't return my phone calls.
If I spend most of my time *not* out on the town with her, then maybe
some of my excess cash can flow towards server costs. Still, I'd
rather be trying to spend a little on seeing her. The hell with
you guys. ^)_(^
And remember - you can purchase
some older CDs again! Ever Anime and Son May re-released Brass Fantasy Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon S Music Collection, Gasshou Kumikyoku, and most
of
the *really* early discs from the first season. Keep in mind that
they are the Taiwanese copies, not the originals, but if you've been
trying to find them again, here they are.
In unrelated news, why not check out the Shoppe?
^)_(^
But the biggest news I save for last. I have recently appointed Vermin the newest
Co-Curator of the List. He will be serving as Co-Curator of Archives. If you wish to host an archive, ask
*him*. ^)_(^ And be sure you know how to do it. I'm
no good at hand-holding, and I think Vermin is even less
inclicned. If you know what you do, then take off every zig and join us
- the few, the proud, the OGG-hosting freakos of the List.
Requirements are 3-4 GB of space handy, plus a static connection on at
least a cable modem/xDSL.
Plus, Vermin rocks. He turned everything into OGGs and updated
all of the sheets, IIRC. Such a thing could drive me to get the
database started sooner. ^)_(^
Jan. 3/03 - Post-holiday shopping
nutso...
Greetings,
eh? I'm mostly interested to see how foreign users of the List
will translate "nutso". ^)_(^
Projects, projects, projects, blah, blah, blah.
You've seen the list of work below. I'm going to get moving
on it.
Here's the big news - you can
purchase some older CDs again! If you check the List
below,
you'll find I've *finally* added serial numbers for CDs that have been
re-released by Ever Anime and Son May. This includes Brass Fantasy Sailor Moon, Sailor Moon S Music Collection, Gasshou Kumikyoku, and most
of
the *really* early ones from the first season! Keep in mind that
they are the Taiwanese copies, not the originals, but if you've been
trying to find them again, here they are. Yes, these have been
re-released and available for quite some time. I just recently
got
around to adding them. ^)_(^
In unrelated news, why not check out the Shoppe?
^)_(^
As as early Christmas present, Vermin
is bringing his archive back up. This does not appear to be a
temporary thing so for God's sake, PLEASE don't hammer his server.
Click his name for support help if you need it. He and I
are
hoping for a mass exodus to OGG format, as it's more ideologically in
line with what I believe.
If you hit a link asking for USERNAME and PASSWORD, that's a dead
server. Do NOT e-mail me for the username/password. It
doesn't exist - that server is no longer a public archive server.
It is now something else. I'll take those links down once I
start making everything into a database.
Dec. 14/02 - And the year winds down...
Greetings,
eh? There is a whole bunch of stuff I want to do and there
is a whole bunch of stuff that's not going to get done. ^)_(^
That happens. Those big updates I was planning? Well,
I might actually start them now - a good thing, since I've been talking
about them since February 2001.
As as early Christmas present, Vermin
is bringing his archive back up. This does not appear to be a
temporary thing so for God's sake, PLEASE don't hammer his server.

Remember way, way back how I had mentioned
huge updates? I think I can finally get around to doing
some. Here's the list of stuff to do - feel free to sing along:
- add new archivist #1's
info sheets
(this is continuous - Vermin will keep us up to date)
- learn CSS/PHP/MySQL, and create
database for the List
- add new info sheets for the Memorial 10 and Dark Side
Edition CDs (SOON)
- data entry for everything in the List
- update Lyric Moon links
(http://www.lyricmoon.org)
- replace
bootleg CD cover images with legit ones (yep, James 0wnZ them
all...)
- re-design List
- convince webhost to add PHP/MySQL to the server
(Doubt
that'll happen...)
July
6/02 - A little more, a little more...
Greetings,
eh? Things are going okay so far. I updated the List with a
few more info sheets from Ron. They *should* work, but I can
neither confirm nor deny. I'm glad that Ron is along for the ride
and I do hope that we can start letting you listen to some of these
great songs. Again, don't hammer or overuse his
archive,
or it'll shut down.
I am constantly amazed with the amount of people who still come here to
download MP3s. I know that in recent years, the lack of server
access and the proliferation of
Napster/Gnutella/Morpheus/AudioGalaxy/whatever has certainly shown a
drop-off in people visiting this site. I've also found that I'm
having trouble getting excited about keeping the List up to date.
I mean, come on. Sailor Moon has been over for several
years
now. I watch a ton of new series fairly regularly now, thanks to
the proliferation of digisubbing. I'm six courses away from
getting my Bachelor's degree and I help organize one of Canada's
largest
anime film festivals, Animethon.
I have over 300 anime CDs in my collection now (thanks to the Shoppe)
and I hardly ever spin a Sailor Moon disc anymore. The fact is,
while I haven't grown up ^)_(^ I have grown older (as evidenced
by
the lines in my smilie) and as is inevitable, I have changed. I
still love the notoriety that came from maintaining the List and I love
the fact that there are so many people out there who take an active
interest in the musicals. Seriously, I really do. I think
that kind of interest is fantastic and I do hope that Sailor Moon will
continue to be popular for a good long time.
I started the List when I was 17. I'm 6 days from turning 23.
That's 6 years. And looking back on it, that's a long time
-
considering I have a niece that's only 4 years old. I'm glad that
the List has continued to be used by people for that amount of time.
But while a 4-year-old girl is just starting out in life, a
6-year-old website is in its golden years. A lot of things have
happened to me in those six years as well, and while some's been good
and some's been bad, I've enjoyed it and changed for the better,
I
think.
The List isn't dying, however; I'm not taking it offline and I will be
maintaining it in the future. However, it's always been my dream
to have it turn into not just a resource, but an archive of
information.
I want the List to be used like a good book in a library -
consulted again and again for accurate information, even if the subject
matter is getting out of date.
Like I said before, as long as the List exists, I'll keep it on the
Net. No matter how many times it has to move. Hopefully, by
the time Sailor Moon CDs stop being released, I can pack up my tools,
go
home, and let the List be. In the meantime, I'm going to try and
learn some code, try to make the List easier and faster to use, and try
to make updating seem like less of a chore. MP3 links and archive
may come down (not in the near future), or OGG links might start
popping
up. Hey, anything could happen. Hopefully, it'll all be for
the better.
Glad you're enjoying the List. Hope you'll find it helpful in the
future.
May. 9/02 - Oh my goodness...
Greetings,
eh? Who'd of thought? Beej updating the List? Can it
be? Not really. Vermin
's down until he can recover MP3s. i don't know when that'll be.
But we have a new archivist! Ron's done a few pages so far, and I
can't remember what they are. So you'll just have to hunt.
If you've found a page with "nekonoai" links in it, that's not
his. He's overwriting those, since I've been told several times
that thet don't work. Don't hammer or overuse his archive,
or it'll shut down.
Sept. 9/01 - <bangs head against keyboard>
Greetings,
eh? Vermin 's back
up.
Overuse his archive, and it'll shut down. Hammer his
archive, and it'll shut down. Please be
nice, for my sake. ^_^ There are two
new archives coming,so you will be able to get all of the stuff
you want without resorting to Napster/Gnutella/Morpheus/BearShare/etc.
Got any problems accessing his archive? Check
out his forum...
Remember how I said before that I was
going to do huge updates? Umm... well, that's not going to
happen again for a little while. However, in the interests of
keeping you apprised of what's happening, I'm going to put a little
list
of things to do right up here, so you can follow along with me as
things get done:
- add new
archivist
#1's info sheets
- add new archivist #2's info sheets
- update Lyric Moon links
(http://www.lyricmoon.org)
- replace bootleg CD cover images with legit ones
(yep, James
0wnZ them all...)
- add new info sheets for
the Memorial
10 and Dark Side Edition CDs
- pass CMPUT 115 (for sure, this time!)
- re-design List
- convince webhost to add PHP/MySQL to the server
- learn PHP/MySQL / work
with Dan to
create database for the List
- data entry for everything in the List
Quick
notes - the MSB is being re-released
under the same catalog #s (quick James update -
According to CD Japan it's already out of print again... D'oh!)
Mirai e Mukatte has also made this comeback, under the catalog #
COCX-31391. Two new Musical CDs are also coming - Musical 10
(Tanjou! Ankoku no Princess Black Lady) (COCX-31423), and the Dark
Side Best Edition Best Songs (compilation of enemy songs) (COCX-31424)
If
you
wish to host an archive, please let
me
know at bdery@ualberta.ca
.
Only those with experience running their own web or FTP server
should contact me, please. I'm not qualified to help those
who've never done it. ^_^ You'll need about 3-4 GB
of space handy, plus a static connection on at least a cable
modem/xDSL. T1s are welcomed, T3s are highly sought after, OC3s
will make me faint. ^_^
If you have any questions regarding anything on the List at all, including finding music
, please e-mail
James
Oikawa, the Co-Curator .
MozillaWatch: I'm using Mozilla Composer
(Linux 2001090721 release) and it's
looks and plays really really really really good... If you
want to try a new browser, this is one I'd definitely try. The
List is being developed on Mozilla in hopes of being fully HTML 4.0
compliant. If anything looks weird about the List, please tell
me, so I know what I need to fix...
June
13/01 - All work and no updates make the List something something...
Greetings,
eh? You know all of that stuff I was going to
update? I can't do it right now. I'd like to, but I really
can't. I barely have enough time to edit this page, as well as
the Shoppe's index. No worries, though. The List is not
dead - it's just on a bit of hiatus.
Quick notes - the MSB is being re-released under the
same catalog #s (quick update - According to CD Japan it's already out
of print again... D'oh!) Mirai e Mukatte has also made this
comeback, under the catalog # COCX-31391. Two new Musical CDs are
also coming - Musical 10 (Tanjou! Ankoku no Princess Black Lady)
(COCX-31423), and the Dark Side Best Edition Best Songs (compilation of
enemy songs) (COCX-31424).
Good news all around, of course. This means I'll be
forced to update the List again, at which point I may try to make a few
more improvements. However, I don't think the redesign will be
coming that quickly.
Feb. 25/01 - All your updates are belong to us...
Greetings,
eh? Not much to update today - I've finally added
the info sheets for Nekonoai's new archive,
and I'd like to welcome her to the List as a new archivist!
Hopefully, we'll be getting one or two more archivists over
the next months and
- Bad
news:
Vermin's archive is down - permanently . Don't
use the links that say "vermin.dyndns.org" until I announce
otherwise. His ISP has found out about his server, and he has
shut it down in order to keep from being kicked off of his service.
- Good
news: another person has offered to
do an archive , so we'll see if we can't get back in the game.
Vermin
will be assisting people in
setting up new archives
. If you wish to host an archive, please let
me
know at bdery@ualberta.ca

various CDs - including a ton of scans from Tenshiko for the German
Horspiel CDs! Finally, I can get some info up on these German
drama CDs.
- Good
news III: James has finally managed to get his hands on the
mightily elusive Sailor Moon S Big Box! Congrats!!
I'm also attempting a redesign
of the site to something similar to Beej's CD Shoppe. I meant to
do it over the holidays, but I just kept putting it off and I'm not
really in the mood right now to do it. Maybe in a few months,
when
I'm not so busy with my Co-op job at Labatt.
One more thing - if you
have any questions regarding anything on the List at all, including finding music,
please e-mail James
Oikawa, the Co-Curator . He wants a more active role -
dammit, let's give him one. ^_^
I'm using Mozilla Composer (Linux 2001020608 release) and it's
about as buggy and difficult to work with as always. I imagine
it's pretty tough building the Composer part of Mozilla, so I'm not
about to complain. The List is being developed on Mozilla in
hopes of being fully HTML 4.0 compliant. If anything looks
weird about the List, please tell me, so I know what I need to fix...
Warning: This year, I am Chair of Public Relations
for the
Animethon Society - a non-proft society that stages an
annual
festival of Japanese Animation in Edmonton, Alberta,
Canada. You are going to hear me talk about this a lot,
which is why I'm warning you in advance. ^_^ Everyone's
invited to attend, as the cost is FREE!
Wow - I was surprised to get a message from Sailor JAM-Boree so quickly. Umm... you
know what else would be cool? If I had a robotic arm that...
um... shot doughnuts! Anyway, what would *really* be cool is
if Sakamoto Maaya or Yoko Kanno (and their assorted people) could
get in contact with me, as we'd love to have either of them do a
concert at Animethon. ^_^ Hey, a man can dream, can't
he? ^_^
Final things: please visit these two fine webcomics. I've
been reading online strips for about a year now, and these are two I'd
love everyone to visit. The insanely popular and fantastically
well-drawn MegaTokyo , and
the
excellent, witty, and also-wonderfully-drawn Cigarro & Cerveja .
Feb.
11/01 - Updates left over... and good news / bad news update...
Greetings, eh?
As of Jan 14/01, I added
the two new Musical CDs to the List. You'll find them
below. Though I haven't had a chance to listen to them yet,
James assures me they're pretty cool ( James'
Note:
They are!!! Eternal Edition is all new songs plus karaoke
tracks of your favorite Musical themes, and Love Ballad Edition is
good if you don't have some of the previous albums! ^_^), if
you've been looking for compilations similar to these.

Nov. 2/00 - Oy, oy... more Musicals...
Greetings, eh? It looks
like the madness continues - two new Musical CDs
are due out on December 30,
so inevitably I'll be adding more CDs to the List again and
again. O_o And I was just intending the List to be done
when it reached compleatness. Looks like we'll never get
there. ^_^ According to CD Japan, one has songs from the
Kessen / Transylvania no Mori Musical that weren't released
(apparently, it's a "fan-awaited compilation of warrior themes"), and
the other is a collection of "ballad gems" from the Musicals that have
spanned nine years.
This supposed new archivist I mentioned before hasn't said
anything to me for a while, but I've also lined
up someone else that will be
offering their server space for some months to come. Hopefully,
we'll all get set up soon, and then
One more thing - if you have any questions regarding anything on the List at all, including finding music,
please e-mail James
Oikawa, the Co-Curator . He wants a more active role -
dammit,
let's give him one. ^_^
I'm using Mozilla Composer (Linux
2000011221 release) and it looks
like a lot of the really bad bugs have been squashed. The List
is going to be developed on Mozilla in hopes of being fully HTML 4.0
compliant. If anything looks weird about the List, please
tell me, so I know what I need to fix... ^_^
Sept.
28/00 - <SNIP> Again, remove all footwear, etc...
Greetings, eh? Guess
what! We moved again! Or
rather - we moved
back! Many thanks to Vermin for keeping the List alive with his
own personalwebspace. We really needed to move, though, as
much of the contentwas missing.
As you've probably noticed we're back at Anime-Alberta.org - update your bookmarks
. And not that I'm paying for the webspace, I don't think we'll
bemoving again too soon. ^_^ And since I'm paying for it,
takeyour shoes off before you come inside... ^_-
It seems that Vermin has found the
resources heneeds to resume offering the
archive. For info and support on accessing the archive,
please read Vermin's Rules Page
. If that doesn't answer your questions, e-mailhim . But read
the FAQs first...
I've also got another new archivist
linedup to provide archive space, but
that's notgoing to happen for another few weeks yet. As
always, I'll keep youup to date on what's happening when it happens,
as it happens, etc, etc...
And special thanks to our resident goddessin Quebec,
Kathleen , who saved my butt bysending James a
set
of track lists I had mistakenly deleted from mye-mail.
^_^
One more thing - if you have any questions
regarding where to find a certain
piece of music, please e-mail James Oikawa,
the Co-Curator .
Aug.4/00 - Vermin does a Lazarus impression...
Greetings, eh? Well, it seems that
Vermin has found the resources he needs
to
resumeoffering the archive. For info and support on accessing
the archive,please read Vermin's
Rules Page . If that doesn't answer your questions, e-mail him . But read
the FAQs first...
I've also got two or three other people
lined up to provide archive space, but
that's notgoing to happen for another few weeks yet. As
always, I'll keep youup to date on what's happening when it happens,
as it happens, etc, etc...
Aug.4/00 - Boy, am I lazy... but I
still need more archives!
Greetings, eh? You betcha I'm lazy. But I've finally
addedthe ~Sailor Moon World~ Super Best
CD
and Sailor Moor World Single
! And I fixed the links for the
Memorial
of theMusical 8 and Musical Best Songs
albums. Plus, James just got in the next two CDs on the List, so
I'll be scanningand adding info sheets for those too!
In addition tothat, I also did my best to update the
Singles that had bad links to picturesand I changed the "Spanish" CD
to be "Chilean", as that's what it apparentlyis.
GeorgeChang's archive is shutting down - albeit a little
prematurely,
butthat can happen when you run such an archive. I wanted to
thank Georgefor his help for the last few weeks.
I'm using Mozilla Composer (Linux 2000080113 release) andit looks like a lot of the really bad bugs have
been squashed. The List is going to be developed on Mozilla
in hopes of being fully HTML 4.0 compliant. When it's finally
done, be sure to download Netscape 6.0 as it's sure to be a
better browser than IE...
I'll also be fixing all the problems with the images. Right
now,the problem is that there's not enough web space allocated
for
theList on this server, but hopefully, I'll be moving back to
Anime-Alberta.org in not too short a time.
July09/00 - La la la la utao,
sora wo miagete...
Greetings, eh? If you don't know that song, go looking for it
(CCSakura movie, ending theme)...
However, we have a new archive beinghosted until the end of summer by GeorgeChang ! He's
got a few rules too, and youmust read
them or no access for you ! The
main index info sheets have been updated, with the Singles sheets and
Worldwide sheets soon to follow!
June17/00 - Updatemo...
Greetings, eh? It's better than being an updateXor, I guess...
Justa few quick things: Vermin's
archive is down - for good. He's no
longer offering MP3s for download. This means that none of the MP3 links to any server are working. Are we clear?
However, he is going to assist me in assisting people set up new
archives. If you have a server of your own with ~4 GB of free
space, on a fast enough connection, and you want to run an archive, contactme .
Also, if some of the pages start to look
alittle funny, it's because Oikawa-kun is
stilllearning a few of the weirdness inherent in Netscape
Composer. We'llbe moving to
Mozilla
Composer once a lot ofthe bugs are
squashed (actually, I'm in Mozilla Composer right now, and it looks
like a lot of the bugs are getting fixed. ^_^).
I'll also be fixing all the problems with the images. My
apologies. I thought I caught them all - turns out I caught
almost
*none* of them. -_-
June17/00 - Jeez... I just can't sit
still...
Greetings, eh? And again with the moving, and the glavin... and
the froinlavin!
Justa few quick things: Vermin's
archive should be coming online againsoon. Please use the "vermin.dyndns.org"links to download
MP3s from his archive. He'll be feeding me morepages and
you'll be able to dload songs in the near future.
Also, as a courtesy, I'm going to give you Vermin'saddress now. If you have a real problem ingetting onto the archive, lethim knowabout it - not me. I can do nothingabout it, so why bother
letting me know? ^_^
However, he has some rules. If you
want to download MP3s, read
hispage to be sure you aren't breaking any rules. He can,
andwill, ban you from the archive if you do.
And here's something exciting - Oikawa-kunis
also going to be making a few updates himself. ^_^ James has not had much practice with
Netscape Composer (which is what we do all of our HTML in at the
moment. What? You think I'm smart enough to do this
myself? ^_^), so ifsome of the
pages
start to look a little funny ,it's because
he's still learning a few of the weirdness inherent in
theprogram. We'll be moving to
MozillaComposer once a lot of the bugs
are
squashed(actually, I'm in Mozilla Composer right now, and it looks
like a lot ofthe bugs are getting fixed. ^_^).
I'll also be fixing all the problems with the images. My
apologies. I thought I caught them all - turns out I caught
almost
*none* of them. -_-
Also,if you wish to host another
archive ,please let me know at bdery@ualberta.ca . Only
those
with experience running their own web or FTP server should
contactme, please. I'm not qualified to help those who've never
done it. ^_^ You'll need about 3-4 GB of space handy, plus a
static connectionon at least a cable modem/xDSL. T1s are
welcomed, T3s are highlysought after, OC3s will make me faint. ^_^
May9/00 - Wow... another move...
Greetings, eh? Wow, it just gets weirder and weider...
I'vemoved to yet another location, as
you've probably noticed. The space
was
donated by Vermin, which is remarkably kind of him giventhe amount of
other work he's been doing. As for the pics, you'llsee that
most (if not all) of them are working now. There may bemore
changes in the future regarding this, but I've realized that I'm
becomeincreibly lax in terms of what I'm supposed to be doing for
Animethon. I need a job, so I can register my vehicle and
actually do some runningaround. If any of you are from the
Edmonton area, and know of a jobinvolving any sort of computer work,
feel free to e-mail me. ^_^
Vermin's archive should almost be ready. He'sadded the new MP3s and he's outiftting the other
archivists with the newMP3s. Kudos to him for the amount of
work he's doing on this. He'll be feeding me more pages and
you'll be able to dload songs in thenear future.
There will also be new
archives to join him.
Jan.18/00 - A little update...
Greetings, eh? Allow me to summarize what's going on...
Vermin's archive isDOWN. Sono one can access any of the archives. He'll be back soon, and there will be new archives to join him. I'll be uploading those new MP3s I mentioned by
this Friday - hopefully.
Also, as a courtesy, I'm going to give you Vermin'saddress now. If you have a real problem ingetting onto the archive, lethim knowabout it - not me. I can do nothingabout it, so why bother
letting me know? ^_^
Now, to the big problem at hand - there is a good chance that I will
have to move the List to a new location. Sucks, eh? It's not Lizzard's fault,
though, so don't e-mail hercomplaining about it. I'll be
moving to Anime Alberta's web site, once it is finished. That
shouldn't be too long now.
Gohere for more of the previous
updates . . .
