Note: despite the news release saying that the MemMusicBox (MMB) is a vocal song collection, it is incorrect.  The MemSongBox (MSB) is the vocal collection.  The MMB is a background music collection, and is probably the ultimate collection, featuring BGM from all five seasons and three movies.  The only vocal songs on the MMB are the TV and Movie OPs and EDs.

You might ask, what's in the set? It's almost exclusively background music. The only vocal tracks on the whole thing are the TV-size openings and endings, and the songs from the movies (Moon Revenge, Moonlight Destiny, Shall we meet the Morning Moon, etc.).

To give you an idea of how much background music is on this CD set .. the booklet that comes with the box is 200 pages long. The second half of the booklet is a list of charts of all the background music from all 200 episodes and all the movies--one chart for each episode and one chart for each movie. As far as I can tell (again, limited knowledge of Japanese), every single piece of background music that ever appeared in any portion of the anime is on these CDs.

On the first CD, there is one track to each snippet of background music. Since there's a lot of background music, it ends up that the first disc has 60 tracks. It seems that they got tired of this in subsequent discs, because every disc after the first has several snippets of background music on each track, divided into subtracks. So, while the first disc has 60 tracks, the remaining 9 discs each have only about 30 tracks.

There is a LOT of information in this book. It's almost enough to make me learn Japanese so I can read it all. There's an interview with some guy in the first 7 pages. The next 9 pages are various pictures from the anime. After that, pp. 16 to 102 is a detailed track by track description of every track in the box set. Waa! I wish I could read Japanese! okay .. calm down .. Pages 104 to 123 list all the background music pieces on the CDs (remember, almost all of the tracks are background music), in order of appearance on the anime. For each piece of background music, they list the title of the episode that it first appeared on, and the CD-track-subtrack that contains it. Finally, pp. 123 to 200 contain a listing of all the background music all 4 (or 5, depending on how you count them) movies and all 200 episodes, sorted by episode number.
