The wind is abundant and free.  However, harnessing that energy requires turbines and generators that are engineered to withstand the most severe storm and yet be inexpensive enough to compete with "conventional" electricity sources.  This is not an easy task.

We have designed light weight, direct drive PMGs for wind turbine applications.

Our PMGs reduce the "$/W", simplify the construction by eliminating the gearbox, and attain high power at low rpm using a practical permanent magnet concentration technique.

We are working with HAWT and VAWT (Horizontal & Vertical Axis Wind Turbine) manufacturers that are reducing the costs by integrating TorsionTec generators with their turbines.

We are also investigating the use of 'Net Metering' and electrical energy storage to save and regenerate electricity when it's needed and not only when the wind is blowing.
