I planed a week ride the Kettle Valley Railroad but, that fell apart. So the day I were suppose to go; I rode from Abbotsford to Rosedale and then got a old friend to drop me off at up Harrison Lake at the mouth of the Big Silver River.

I rode my 90 pound mountain bike up Big Silver River from Harrison Lake,
camped over night at Nahatlatch Lake and next day rode down Nahatlatch River
to Fraser River and down to Boston Bar and call it a short trip. By the way
I still have all the food for that trip on the KVR. I hope there is no
bears!.
The beach area at the mouth of Big Silver River where I camped over night.
I could see across to west side of Harrison Lake and see Twenty Bay were
Sandy Keith and I only 3 years earlier have rode our bikes to Pemberton. I
had the whole beach to myself, had fire, made my dinner and watch the
sunset.
Before coming up here I had check with the forestry if that road was clear to
Boston Bar , I was informed that they were to pull down the first bridge that
crossed Big Silver River this very next morning. In the morning while it was
still dark I could hear the logging trucks head up the same road. I
quickly packed up my bed, eat my breakfast and just as it was getting light or
at dawn I rode couple hours to the bridge.

The ride from Harrison Lake is 30 miles to the summit on a logging roads to the pass.
it was smooth wet but hard sand on the logging trucks rutts. I stop take these
pictures as you me getting higher up in the clouds
There was logging just on the other side of the pass that blocked the road, but I was able to walk thur and ride down to Hannah Lake and camp over night.
Hannah Lake I had rode 45 miles, with 90 lbs bike in 8 hours

Behind the log between my bike I set my bed a ground sheet, self inflated
mattress got in my old army compo rubber jack sleeping bag under the stars. I
found pretty nice Swiss arm knife on that log, only to lose it there too!
