How to Become A Women North Network Member

1. Contact someone from the Contact list

     This person will set up up with a Women North WebCT Login ID and Password.
2. Once you have the WebCT Login ID, go to http://webct.unbc.ca

3. Click your mouse on the Login To myWebCT

4. Type in your WebCT ID and Password given to you by the Women North contact and then click the mouse on the Log in Button.
Oh, but there is more................

5. This will take you to the Courses page. Click your mouse on WNORTH: Women North (WNORTH) This will take you to the Women North Network Gathering Space Homepage.

It is similar to a regular website, except that it is a password protected space that only Women North members will be able to access.

6. Everytime you login, the Courses page will inform you that there is new information posted to the WebCT that you have not read. Click on these icons to go directly to the new information.

The icon means there is a survey to be filled out.                              The icon means there are new discussion messages within WNN.

The icon means there is new email message within WNN.                The icon means there are new calendar events available.

7. However, the first time you login you will be overwhelmed with new discussion postings and new calender postings.

If you click on the, calendar events will go all the way back to September 2002. However once you have looked at them, they will not appear again.

If you click on the, it will bring you to the discussion forums page, which will inform you that you have over 100 discussion messages. These are all the discussions posted since the beginning of the Women North Network. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the mouse on the All under the Topic Menu.

 

8. This brings you into the Discussion forum. If you would like to hide all of these messages, but not delete them, click the mouse on the Mark all as read button on the top of the page.

9. From here, you can just go to the top of the page and click on Homepage. Homepage will always bring you back to the Women North Gathering Space Homepage.
