These safety courses follow curriculums established by the Canadian Avalanche Assn.

Avalache Safety Course


This two-day course is a must for backcountry skiers and winter climbers. Avalancheheory, route finding, stability analysis and rescue techniques are covered in a classroomday followed by a day in the field.

Avalache Safety Course


Spend two days ski-touring with experienced mountain guides who will show you some of the secrets of safe route finding in avalanche terrain. A great follow up to Avalanche Awareness 1.

Prerequisites: Strong skier or boarder.

Avalache Safety Course


Avalanche is the greatest hazard facing skiers and winter mountaineers. This course is for those committed to gaining an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the avalanche phenomenon. Six-days of field training in a variety of areas with expert guides.

Prerequisites: No prior training neeeded, strong skier or boarder.
