Wilderness First Aid Courses
For some time there has been a need for a wilderness first-aid provider in the Bow Valley that can offer easy pre-course information and booking facilities combined with excellent, relevant and consistent course delivery. In an effort to meet this need Yamnuska Inc. has decided to act as a host for Wilderness Medical Associates, Canada (WMA). In spring 2000 WMA will be providing Wilderness First Responder (72hr) courses for the public and for Yamnuska Semester participants.WMA is the leading wilderness first aid provider in North America and has an excellent reputation. Yamnuska Inc. is looking forward to working with WMA. The course provided is: Wilderness First Responder Complete medical training for anyone tripping or working in remote areas. Recognized by ski patrols, outfitters and guide organizations across North America. October 19 - 28, 2000 in Canmore. $685 Cdn includes GST, instruction and course materials.
