THE URGEThe horn line, the colour guard, and...?, yes something is missing, THE DRUM LINE! There is one peculiar thing about drummers, they are always drumming! They drum at rehearsals and even when they aren't at rehearsal. I do as well. It must be an impulse. When a drummer sees a pair of drumsticks, the first thing he does is pick them up and start drumming on anything he can find. A horn player doesn't go around buzzing his/her lips, and a member of the colour guard doesn't go around doing twirls and sidedrops. It must be that drummers are influenced by their instructors and they are drum corps nuts.

Is it true that the Drum line is wearing black this season?. Were you at the dance Dec. 14th. If you missed it, you also missed a great show in the first room during the evening, right Mark!
Congratulations to Mark Hayward, he is skipping town to California. (AR, AR, HUMOR). The sandwiches were good too.
For fans of Led Zepplin it was all night heaven. We also discovered that Bev has cold feet about dancing with corps members (who will remain nameless), but the last dance she was seen sneaking out of the kitchen to have a little trot with her hubby.
Is the drum line quitting the corps to take up plumbing?, or are they trying to introduce a new sound to drum corps?, (I can't wait to hear it... ass.)
I also hear from my source in the grapevine that there will be double trouble in the colour guard this year. This may be taken as a warning to all corps members. I also heard that tryouts for the rifle line is coming up soon so keep practicing Wade. ( Just Kidding).
Kevin Harman is worried about losing his position as numero uno screecher in the lead line.
Rumor has it that Paul and Carolyn have been going together since August 6th, 1879, (yoke).(Are Debbie and Wolfgang setting a trend?), they have plans for marriage! - Do their parents know? - What would they say?, - Will it be a corps wedding?, Who will be your best man?, Ray bassett?.
