Prayer and Penance

If my people who bear my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my presence and turn from their wicked ways, then I will listen from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their country. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Never worry about anything; but tell God all your desires of every kind in prayer and petition shot through with gratitude. Philippians 4:6

Prayer-directing one's life to God by:
A. Raising one's mind and heart to God in :
  • adoration
  • thanksgiving
  • reparation (penance)
  • petition.

    It may be vocal, meditative, personal, and social.

B. Doing works for the glory of God aka apostolate is exercised by:
  • evangelizing and sanctifying our own selves and those in the world
  • working to influence all things with the Gospel
  • bearing witness to Christ
  • helping people to be saved.
