Final Assembly

Once both 40 meter spreader assemblies were in the vertical position, scaffolds were erected to a height of 20 feet to support the boom and to provide access for wiring etc.

Next the two inner spreader assemblies were installed on the boom. Note that the two 40 meter elements are still missing the bottom extensions.

Once the 40 meter assemblies were attached to the boom, the extensions were inserted and the wire elements reattached. A third scaffold was erected to support the mast, facilitate installation of the vertical and lateral trusses and to allow installation of the remote coax switchbox and feedlines. Note the blue sky. The sun really does shine in VE7 once in a while.
